Hey I need to RMA my Caviar Blue 500gb and I was thinking of doing a Advance RMA but Im not sure. I think its best so I can transfer all my data onto the new HDD. Does anyone have experience with WD's RMA process, Is it good/bad?
I've used it before. The advance option is you pay for the new one with your credit card and then return the old drive and they refund your card when they receive it right? I did that option, fair and easy. Why are you not sure?
Because I dont have a credit card so I have to borrow someone elses and I dont want to have to pay $100 because the package they shipped me dident get back to them due to postal services.

You should always get shipping insurance on stuff like that so it doesn't happen. It's pretty cheap, anywhere between $2 and $10
