British teenager banned from US after sending Obama abusive email
Silsoe - A 17 year old British boy has been told he will never be welcome in the United States after he sent an abusive email to President Barack Obama.
Luke Angel, 17 never thought he would be the centre of American punishment after he emailed the president with a vitriolic email full of abusive and threatening language. Angel found himself on the wrong side of the law in England and America.
The email was first intercepted by the FBI who then contacted the Metropolitan Police who in turn got in touch with Bedfordshire Police, the force that covers Angel's district in Silsoe, Bedfordshire. The Bedfordshire force sent officers round to the college student's home and told him the US authorities have banned him from entering the States for the rest of his life.
The email was sent around a month ago during August 2010 and according to Bedfordshire On Sunday he cannot remember all of the details he put in the mail as he was drunk and high at the time. Angel had expressed his intense dislike and hatred for Obama and the US government after he had watched a TV programme about 9/11 much of which delved into the conspiracy theories behind the atrocity and the suggestion that maybe the US authorities were behind it.
Angel had also done a lot of internet searching on the illuminati and believed many of the theories he found. When police visited Angel he admitted right away saying: "Oh dear it was me!"
Sarah Wilkinson, a spokeswoman from Bedfordshire Police said:
“The individual had sent an email to the White House which was full of abusive and threatening language.
“We were informed by the Metropolitan Police and so we went round to see him.
“He said ‘oh dear’ it was me.
“He was told that he wouldn’t be able to go to America.”
She added that it was basically a boy ‘being silly’ and nothing more sinister than that and said that there was no criminal action being taken against the boy.
Angel himself says he does not really care and that his parents are more unhappy about it than he was.

Pfft, I wouldn't waste my time sending an e-mail to the president anyway. Oh well, who cares about this dumb kid. Oh wait, he's 17, BWAHAHAHA! How immature, something I'd expect from a 12 year old.

:tinfoil:
Surely Obama gets his fair share of hate mail, being the president of the United States. I'm surprised this one in particular got so much attention.
Apparently he was drunk and high, so he may have been a little more receptive.
Wait.....the FBI actually did something besides eating donuts?

Probably wanted to make an example of him or something.
I like how he turned around just said he doesn't care.
Big deal, America isn't that great of a place anyways.
What happened to freedom of speech though...
This was totally worth the effort

Well, you see, after the cold war they made sure to [sp]*THE FOLLOWING CONTENT IS CLASSIFIED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF BROADCASTING*[/sp]
How did the FBI know that he was searching up information on the Illuminati prior to emailing?
Do they keep logs of everything we do online? :ohdear:
"Yeah, that email was really nasty :frown:"
"I don't care"
"Yeah, well... you, er, you are BANNED from America! Forever!"
"I don't care"

If you believe every theory on the internet about this, then in short, yes
But I guess he said something in the email about what he had been watching and looking up.

I don't think he was quite himself at the time, being intoxicated on two different substances.
Crackhead
Way to go ruining your life, He will surely regret it when he gets mature enough.

I wouldn't call being banned from the US "Ruining your life"
That dumbass deserved it, but I doubt he had any interest in visiting the States in the first place

He was interviewed by the local police if you read the article. He probably told them what he was doing.
That's actually really damn harsh. A permanent ban from ever entering a high developing, large and strongly populated major country over a hate mail is taking it really far.
There must be something else that would have caused this steep decision.
If I knew I was permanently banned from ever entering the United States of America with no possible renege, then that's pretty much my life done with.
Obama has a email ! I need a link to it.
I'd be pretty upset if I was banned from the UK. I mean there are obviously going to be a lot of "Who cares, it's the US, who would give a shit", but being banned from any major country would suck.
It isn't hard to change your identity.
What happened to haters gonna hate Obama?
