• how can I get physX working on ATI card?

I have an ATI HD 4850, and I was googling around and I heard about modified drivers, but I can't find them. Any help? If I can't, how can I play cryostasis without physx?
I heard that the only way is to bridge it (somehow) with an Nvidia card that has Physx. I've never done it, but a friend convinced me that he got it to work by combining his 8800 and a 5850.
I remember just turning it on in Mirrors Edge it worked but lagged like hell. Collegegrad is pretty much right, get a cheap Nvidia card and it can be dedicated phsyx, there are tons of videos on Youtube of people doing it.

I do have a 9600GSO but my computer doesn't have another PCI express slot.
Driver problems, you could get the MSI Big Bang or get a Motherboard with 2 PCI Slots. MSI Big Bang = Automatically pairs 2 cards together, ATI and NVIDIA. Different Motherboard = Requires special drivers, or get smart with them and you can run them both together with no problems.
or you can get a PCI 8400GS
Pepper;23399264']or you can get a PCI 8400GS
Might as well not have one.
get an ageia card
it is possible if you have an Nvidia GPU with Physx support. You can simply use your ATI card for the graphics and Nvidia GPU for the Physx I don't remember with the guide though :(
get an ageia card
do they still sell those?
Pepper;23400388']do they still sell those?
Well if you manage to find one on ebay :v:
I think they don't support ageia cards anymore [editline]12:47PM[/editline] atleast that's what i've heard
Might as well not have one.
Why? If it's dedicated, PCI is more than enough bandwidth for simply physics calculations.
get an ageia card
They are shitty and outdated. [editline]04:44PM[/editline]
Why? If it's dedicated, PCI is more than enough bandwidth for simply physics calculations.
The performance of the 8400GS as a PHX processor is ridiculously poor, and makes little difference compared to not having one at all.
