A lucid dream is a dream where you know you're dreaming and can control it yourself.
Never had one.
haven't had a lucid dream in a long while, but when it happens it's pretty intense... gives a whole new perspective of how your mind works.
Everything was black and white and I was on a building in Cuba, watching Fidel Castro speak. I suddenly realised that this was all a dream, so I summoned a laser gun and started to set Fidel's beard on fire, forcing him to stop speaking and slap the flames out of his facial hair. This went on for what felt like five minutes before I woke up.
I had a dream where I talked to my "dream guide", who turned out to be this short blonde, curly haired catgirl who liked to smoke. Her first literal words to me were "Where is an ash tray?"
I started talking to her about stuff and I happened to ask her who God was for some reason. She gave me this puzzled look and asked, "Who?" That's when I woke up.
Cuddling a crush.
Good dream.
I had my first lucid dream.
I literally closed my eyes, still aware of everything around me..
An I physically felt myself transition into a car from Mario Kart.
And I was racing the scout from tf2 on a snow level from Mario kart wii
Yet I was entirely aware that I was dreaming, I was aware of everything happening outside of my dream, I could hear the AC, the room mates in the hall...
The only thing I wasnt aware of was the position of my body in my bed because everytime I looked down, I was sitting in Mario's kart. LOL
I was literally aware of the dream and real life at the same exact time. And if u want to know what that feels like, picture yourself imagining something in your mind, and making it real. Like imagine skydiving and all of a sudden your actually skydiving. That's exactly what happened to me, I wasn't really asleep, I essentially had a dream while being awake.
And to prove I was aware of the outside world, the only reason why I woke up, was because I was scared I was sleeping in a very awkward position, like I did not know where my body was in real life. So as soon as I herd my roommate open the door, I opened one eye and realized that I was sleeping normally (I was relieved, for all i knew I could have been leaning against the wall of the room posed like I was sitting on an imaginary chair or some shit, that would look weird).
but as soon as I opened my eye, the dream vanished and I wasn't able to go back. After that I had 2 nightmares, one was seeing shit coming out of the shower head instead of water, and the other was about college humor's cringe worthy furry force video :suicide:
only lucid dream I've ever had.
The most recent lucid dream was a 2 weeks ago.
I was sitting in front of a computer and I typed "LOL" then I pressed enter.
I have too many lucid dreams, sometimes its hard to tell if your waking up to your bedroom or a dream because ive trained myself too well but that stops the longer your in the dream for obvious reasons.
I haven't had a "Best" Lucid Dream but if i had to choose anything it would definitely be any lucid dream where ive had a freedom of movement.
Like Flying or Teleporting or moving really fast.
Some of the freakiest have been when ive been talking to people. Some are super random and then some make sense in the most strangest ways.
Never had one.
You probably don't remember it.
I've had a few dreams where I realized I was dreaming. It never really went beyond that other than trying too hard to take control of the dream, and then slipping into a non-lucid dream.

Got any special techniques you've used that most of us haven't heard about?
That one where me and my dad were being chased by a tiger tank in the army jeep. :v:

Consistent Sleep Schedule is one thing you need to have.
Another thing is that you train yourself each day to pinch yourself or something similar in routine as you form some sort of consciousness, so that way you do it by reaction almost.
Im poorly explaining it and i wish there was some form of reference i can give you but i don't have much.
When you wake up from a dream it helps to also spend a moment to recall it, don't get up and don't even react. Just reflect upon the dream, lucid or otherwise.
If there is some sort of repeating feature of the dream, like characters or objects that can be used as some sort of sign your dreaming.
If you get to excited or too exerted with your control, you wake yourself. This is really hard to control when you first get some form of lucidity.
You gotta really stick to it if you want results and learn.
I keep having dreams where I get together with this one girl, but It's lucid so I know it's fake
Sometimes I go groundhog day on her ass and be a giant douche

Yeah it's pretty hard for me to have a consistent sleep schedule.
The first couple lucid dreams I had I tried to take control and it either ended the dream and I woke up some time later (hours?) or I blacked out and slipped into another dream.
Never had a lucid dream, but this happened recently
So it started off where I was like struggling to sleep. I decided to lay down in front of my closet because dream logic. Suddenly I get teleported to this desert place.
I walk around like "huh, that happened" and I stumble upon a tribe of ant people. They take me to their king, who is king because he has wings.
King ant informs me that I am the messiah figure of their religion and how I am destined to unite the other tribal factions of ant people together. But then he goes "but you lack wings! We shall fix this!"
So they build me a jetpack that looks kinda like the one The Hornet has. And we then proceed to unite all the ant tribes in a big war.
I'm like flying around with the king guy, and we're doin' all this shit with traps and stuff, kinda like what the Ewoks did in star-wars episode 6.
Eventually we win and bring peace to everybody or something.
After that, I fly up into the sky and end up home.
I try to tell people what happened to me and what I did, but nobody believes me and I give up.
Then the dream morphed into another dream I don't really remember. Then I woke up.
It's so weird to have a dream have a beginning, middle, and end. I've never had this. It was all SUPER vivid too.
That was like the coolest fucking dream I have ever had in my life.
I lucid dream 2 or 3 times a week or more, but my best dreams are never lucid dreams. When I'm lucid I never have full dream control, to the point where I've outright given up on trying to get some things to happen (because they never do). I can usually fly though.
I had one dream where I was in a hospital in a coma, and I was in a "spirit form" traveling around the hospital. I realized my spirit form had to "pass on" in order for myself to wake up. I went to where my body was and there was a giant grey spirit wolf standing next to my hospital bed. I walked up to it and it gently closed its jaws over me and lifted me up, and swallowed me. I'm a vorarephile so it would have made sense for me to be aroused, but what I felt as I was held in its mouth and slid down its throat was some sort of indescribable spiritual elation and happiness so intense that I didn't even feel sexually aroused at all. It wasn't just that I was happy about how it felt, it was something on a level I can't even explain. It was an emotion that I never remember feeling before and I've never felt since, and it lingered for hours after it woke me up. I can sort of "grasp" at feelings of sexual pleasure or at romantic pleasure by using my imagination, but what I felt during that dream was nothing like that. It was on a whole different level. I can't even imagine what the emotion was like now, I can only remember the ways I described it to myself when I was feeling it.
It kind of makes me wonder if vore represents something on a higher level than a fetish for me, but it only happened once so I have no idea. If I had more of a religious or mystic mindset I would have believed that some sort of benevolent spirit had visited me that night.
Like I said, my lucid dreams never go the way I want them to. Generally the more I try to control the dream the less it goes in the direction I want. I have to let it play out by itself, and if I know I'm dreaming I'll usually try to "trick" my dream into going the way I want it to (which more often than not, doesn't work)
I really want to find out if there's a name for this emotion but the internet is failing me. There's a lot of stuff about dreams on the internet that is clearly bullshit written by people with no idea what they're talking about.
I flew small house fans like air planes. It was rad.
The only one I had was in Grade 4 and I dreamt I was on top of the school with a big fuck-off grenade launcher blowing up all the playground equipment.
Why I had a murderous hate for the playground equipment remains a mystery.
The most lucid it got for me was when I punched a ghost in the goddamn face for being an asshole.
In my best lucid dream, I flew into the air and rained fire down upon a very unfamiliar looking city.
I also had one where I saw a massive amount of water flooding over nearby mountains, and as it hit, it ended.
Ya'll got nothing on my dark blue munchkin cat with thunderbolts all over it.
This is the only thing i have ever been able to remember. When i go to sleep, i wake up feeling as if i never fell asleep and only a few minutes have passed, for me sleeping is like a timemachine.
i am become death destroyer of worlds
I've only had one (that I can remember) I was walking up a strip mall at my school, and when I came to the gynamsium, I realized that my school doesn't have a strip mall or anything like it. That's when I realized I was dreaming, so I jumped about 10 meters up into the air, then I tried to imagine a BMW 5-series in front of me, then I woke up.
I don't think I've ever had one, but I've had some pretty vivid dreams.
Back when my mom's mastiff was a puppy, I had a dream where he was lost. Me, Bobby Hill, and Gerald from Hey Arnold went looking for him. We came across a biker gang also looking for the dog to get paid or something to that effect. We got chased until I realized it was a dream and it became lucid. I summoned up a portal gun to go through a fence into a shack-like building. I forgot that the portals there were there, and the grabbed Bobby and pulled him through to beat him up. Then Gerald went through the shack window and ragdolled.
Then the puppy walked around the street and it became a race to get to him first. Luckily I made it and then there was a fiesta to celebrate his return.
I tried to summon a foxgirl like the one in my avatar, but it didn't work and the dream ended.
it was still a nice fiesta tho
It's only happened twice to me. I've already wrote about the first one a while back and recently I've had another one. I've actually wrote it down as soon as I woke up. Some parts may sound weird and not add up but... hey it's a dream, right? And It's a pretty detailed (and long) summary of it too. Here it is:
The dream started on a bus. I didn't know I was in a dream yet and there was probably some part before this but I don't remember so I'll just start with saying I was on this bus, the number 72, with some guys I know from school. We were the only ones on the bus and I don't think I was interacting too much with them, normally I don't even hang out with them outside of school. At one point they had to get down the bus to take another one that would take them home in Baggio, a district in the city I live. I stayed on the bus, since the 72 takes directly to my neighbourhood and I was left alone on it. When they got off they didn't even say goodbye, only one guy did, and greeting back I may have thought something like "geez, what a bunch of assholes" at the ones who didn't. From inside the bus I saw them discussing about which bus they should have taken next to get home faster and then the group disbanded gradually, leaving the only guy who said bye alone as well. I thought about opening up the window and tell him "some motherfuckers you hang out with, right?" and maybe get off at the next stop and offer him a cigarette and have a chat with him while I walked a bit of the road home with him, but I said "fuck it" to all of that and kept going, realizing, that I was meant to get off at the stop everyone got off at. But I didn't care, partly because it wasn't such a big deal and I could have gone on a couple other stops with no problem, but mainly because something on the bus caught my eye. Right behind the driver's cabin there were some advertisments and in those advertisements the girl I had a crush on some months ago was pictured in it. I thought "wow, she went far then, I wonder how much she gets paid for this" and to explain this one properly I should tell you some back-story, but... I won't, so let's carry on saying that the lights on the bus had gradually gone out inexplicably walking from the back to the front where these ads were and I didn't even seem to notice, and upon a closer look I noticed these ads were arranged in a way that made it look like the driver put those there with pride, like posters, so I thought "maybe it's her father or something", but I wanted to gather some information from them to see if I could trace this girl back so since I couldn't read jack shit in the dark I took out my phone and tried to turn the flashlight on, instead of asking the driver if he knew her, for some reason, but it wouldn't work, and as I was uttering profanities trying to get it to work the driver started chatting with me and said stuff like "it's hot tonight isn't it" or some small talk like that, I don't know, I was trying to get the camera's flash to work taking a photo or a video of the ads instead but that wouldn't work either so I just said fuck it and had a bit of a chat with the driver before realizing he had stopped right outside the apartment buildings I live in. So I told him something like "what now?" and he replied saying he had to meet someone close by, and got off. I stayed on for some reason and turning around, the bus had become a mini-bus, with standard car seats and all that, and looking at the seats far back I saw like a glowing cardboard cut-out of the driver's face grinning with eyes wide open like a maniac and I started screaming and freaking out and looked out the window and saw the driver looking at me like "yeah, I know what's going on" and said: "there's a gun in that bag there". What was that anyway? A ghost? I felt more confused than scared and at that point and a few too many things weren't adding up. I was starting to realize I was in a dream. So I open that bag up and take the gun, while doing so I saw in my peripheral vision that the "ghost" had moved up a couple seats and was right beside me so I scream like a bitch and finally get off that fucking bus. So as I said, I walked down the street I live in, gun still in my hand, and two men were digging up a hole on the side of the road next to a car and the bus driver was speaking with them so I guess that's who he was supposed to meet, and as I was walking down to my house's door I had finally figured out I was in a dream, and to confirm that I noticed there where a few too many fences surrounding it so I thought "okay let's do some cool shit, then! But won't I wake up now that I know I'm in a dream? Would I wake up by just thinking about it? Apparently not. Also it's funny to think that all this shit happened and it's all just my mind coming up with the craziest shit while I'm sleeping in my bed". So I turned around and started walking up the street to get to my neighborhood's square where I could meet some people I know to do stuff together but before that some women walking their dogs appeared from nowhere. One dog came up to me and put his paws on my shoulders as If he wanted to be petted, and so I did, saying stuff like "yeah, good doggie". Why did that happen? No clue. Maybe I really like dogs subconciously? But anyway, I kept walking and got to the crossroads to get to the square but I met three of my best friends even before getting there and they nodded like saying "okay, we're here, let's do this shit!". I guess I spawned them or something. In the meantime the gun had turned from a pistol to a MAC-10, a small sub-machine gun for those who don't know, and as we were walking towards the city centre I figured it was about time to use it so I start shooting at random cars passing by and hit one in the back wheel and it spun off, then I hit one guy in the head and then shot a biker in the abdomen making him fall off. Blood spewing everywhere, basically, but nobody around seemed to be bothered. In a few seconds walk we had already reached the city centre. We walked in front of a bar and a waiter was like tidying up one of the tables outside, so I jump on another one next to it and as I leaped forward I pointed the gun to his head and shot him and, call me a sadist, but I really liked the sound his head smashing on the concrete made for some reason. We turn the corner and we see this british looking old guy advertising the place he was standing out of, which I guess was a restaraunt, dressed up like a royal man or something. We walk by him doing nothing and he says something like "mhhh hey, these kids are up to no good" while staring angrily at us. At that point my mind was like "well some bad shit is about to happen, better cut it right here" and woke up. As soon as I did I wondered why the fuck I did, I actually wanted to see what would happen, so a bit like the first time I had a lucid dream, with the difference that I woke up almost "intentionally" this time. I have to learn to control them better, I guess.
In my only lucid dream, I walked in to my old room and there was a pile of laundry that literally went through the roof. I remember being pretty pissed with it.
I don't think I've ever had a lucid dream but if I've woken up on a weekend and want to lie in and force myself back to sleep I go into a weird dream state where I sleep for a while and then I know I want to wake up and I know I'm dreaming, I know I'm in my bed but I can't physically wake myself up. It also happens if I nap during the day but it's very rare I do that now
I think it was way back at elementary school.
I was walking down the road and ended up close to kinderqarten I used to be as toddler in.
The difference was that there was a T-Rex next to it, its head over the small fence and roaring for God-knows-what-reason.
What did I do?
I yelled at it to get its attention, and I can still remember how I chanted to myself ''This is just a dream, this is just a dream...'' few times when it ran at me and at some point I woke up.
not sure if you'd call this a lucid dream:
Fell asleep on the bus, had a dream about being on that bus but it was totally empty then woke up to find it totally full.
Creepy but intriguing experience.
