• My expirience with the Razer Lachesis mouse

I got the Razer Lachesis approximately one year ago. It's an awesome mouse, I had no problems with it until last month. Suddenly the mouse wheel didn't have much grip anymore. It felt like it was greased when scrolling. So, today I tried to take the mouse apart, but that was a real pain in the ass, because the screws are not accessible from outside. So I pried it apart with a screwdriver and a lot force, trying not to break it. When I finally opened it I took the mouse wheel out. It's some cheap plastic wheel with a rubber tire around it. I put some glue between them and it works fine again. Putting it together wasn't an easy task either, but it didn't take that long. Also, only 4 plastic clamps broke :v: When I buy a new mouse I will look to get one with screws to open it.
The exact same thing happened to my Razer Krait, a lot of times when i tried to spin the wheel, my finger would just "slip" past it. At first i thought it was because the scroll wheel has a really smooth surface, but now i checked it and it indeed is the way you described it. I don't use the Krait anymore (the LMB has bad contacts and it sometimes doesn't click or doubleclicks automatically), but i still keep it in case something goes wrong with my current mouse. I guess i'll try taking it apart to see what can be done.
Got a deathadder about 2 weeks ago, best mouse I've ever had the fortune to use
The sides of my Deathadder turned into a greasy slimeball. I tried rubbing the "grease" off with a towel, but that didn't help. So I got a G5 that has nice grippy sides, and not cheap plastic like Razer uses. [editline]12:50PM[/editline] I've used plastic mice before, and I've never had the greasy slimeball problem. I use a cheap Microsoft mouse at work, which doesn't have that problem.
My G5 has been by my side forever!
So I pried it apart with a screwdriver and a lot force
This made me laugh. Nice work, champ.
buy roccat kone
Still using my MX518.... 4 years so far.
I know exactly what you're talking about, I have the lachesis and the scroll wheel seems to have become detached from the hub, its kind of like a car wheel, and the "tire" has come off the wheel. Altough it took nearly 2 years for mine to happen, i think it has to do with using it for extended periods of time, like using the scroll 3 hours a day for a month would cause it to happen sooner than 1 hour a day for 6 months. It seems to rememdy itself if you let it sit for a little while.
I  my first gen Roccat Kone. The scroll wheel seems solid, compared to other users experience.
My G5 has been by my side forever!
My overly expensive G9 has been at my side acting up forever!
My lachesis is nice but does anyone know how to make it not "quite" so insanely sensitive? Everytime I click the mouse button the mouse moves up, it's SO frustrating. I find it really hard to control compared to previous mice. I'm using the same DPI I used to use.
I told you to wash your hands after fapping, but did you listen? Noooooooo....
My MX518 has lasted me over a year now and it still works LITERALLY like the day I got it.

Mine JUST started doing that D: I too have the Lachesis
I just like the basic wireless keyboard and mouse setup. I bought a Logitech S520 desktop set and it's been fine for the 9 months I've had it.
Logitech is greater than these 'gaming' mice in my opinion. Yeah Logitech makes gaming mice, but their entire company doesn't revolve around gamers. That in my opinion makes their products superior.
I won a G9 in a contest a week ago, now I fear that I'll never be able to use a generic mouse ever again.
I <3 my MX518
I still have an old optic HP mouse I stole from school 2 years ago <3
My Lachesis has the same problem. edit: I used a screwdriver to pull the top rubber bit the scrollwheel up a bit and squeeze some of that "universal-super-fast-drying" glue in there. It's working great now. (no need to take the whole mouse apart :)) It's a fucking incredible mouse in every other way, though.
My Lachesis is awesome, no problems here.
I love razer products they just seem to crap out 1 year in.
I've had my Krait for like three years and it only just broke the other day, im getting a Lachesis to replace it. I have the fucked mouse button too, it clicks twice when i click and if i want to drag items or highlight an area it releases the click prematurely.
exactly the same thing started happening over the weekend for me, only seems to affect downward scrolling though...
My Habu Died  Oh well I should be getting a lachesis, after personal recomendation. [editline]11:54PM[/editline]
I won a G9 in a contest a week ago, now I fear that I'll never be able to use a generic mouse ever again.
After my Habu, I can't use a generic mouse, My mouse ran at usually 1600DPI for desktop, double the usual DPI, and Now I'm just like "Why is this mouse so fucking slow!" and then I get sent to the vice principals office because it's at school. FUCK.
My DeathAdder started acting up recently, sometimes it won't click and other times it'll release before I release. So I went back to using my G7. Not as comfy and a pain to switch batteries, but it works.
So far I broke every single mouse I ever had I had 2 microsoft habu 1 cheap ass white optical microsoft one(my top 2 mouse ever) I had 2 razer, everytime the connection in the wire broke I had a logitech g5-g9 both the connection in the wire broke again So now I got a Mx518 and it's awesome These are the best. My top mouse are 1-Mx518 2-Optical cheap ass microsoft mouse 3-Microsoft Habu 4-Razer diamondback
