There are so many problems with this. Basically no information is provided on the game and some of the FAQ even repeats what's in the main text, as if that somehow helps explain things. It seems they've set up their own crowdfunding site just for the game despite their other games being quite profitable. Then there's that the game will supposedly release in 2017 which implies it must be fairly far along for a pre-alpha unless they're going to develop an entire game in only a year, so what's this money for, especially when they're making money from their other games? Oh, and they somehow want 250k to make the entire game and 2 campaigns, but to make just another campaign after that would be another 250k? Right... It claims it's going to change things but doesn't explain how at all. Several of the backer pledge packages don't even come with the game, it's already said to contain micro-transactions despite not being free, and the worst part of this: It is not a single game. Each "campaign" requires you to buy a seperate game on Steam according to the FAQ:
At the moment each campaign is planned as separate paid game on Steam
And there are 3 missions so far mentioned in this, one as a stretch goal. The ironic part of that is, they said they don't want to just have the missions as DLC or a season pass because they don't want to split it up:
Why do you sell collectable weapons and unique characters instead of the game itself with DLC, or season passes? Does it mean there will be microtransactions and everything in the game will be sold for money? « We don’t like the approach when the game is divided into several DLC’s or episodes and is sold via Season Pass or imposing further additions which is popular at the moment.
The game itself (what little is shown) looks interesting, but how this has been approached seems terrible. Just basing it off the backer rewards here i'd assume the campaigns would be around $14 each at least, as the first package that comes with a campaign (only 1 of them, so not even the entire thing if this got fully funded) is 19.99, with the weapon included in that being 6.99. It's crowdfunding by a company with several other games that aren't even out of alpha/beta yet and presumably they have more than enough money for this but instead are trying to get people to back a paid, split up "campaign" game with micro transactions (if War Thunder is anything to go off, good luck trying to get far without buying anything) with nothing to indicate how it will actually 'change' things like it claims. Not to mention it says the first two episodes will release no matter what. That is not a good sign when they're asking for money but even if they don't get it, things will be the same.
knowing Gaijin this is gonna end up with the russians having AK-47s fighting americans who only have M1s [editline]wew[/editline] also for anyone that doesn't believe me, look at War Thunder. Tiger IIs fight T-62s and Me 262s fight MiG-17s in that game
Watch as Gaijin magically makes the MG-42 overheat after only 20 shots whilst having the DP have no cooldown at all. I also can't wait for the supr sekrit dokuments showing how the soviets raped the Germans with AK-46 prototypes!!!!!!
If you honestly want a game like that just play WW2 Online. :v:
I can't wait for Germany to get the best equipment in the game and for people to still whine that it they are underpowered.
I'll be playing Day of Infamy and arma 3 ww2 mods to satisfy my ww2 itch, this just looks like a moneygrab, and knowing gaijin it is
Into the trash it goes. We need more handcrafted SP games, not more grindfest MP games that contribute nothing to video gaming as a medium, not expanding on story-telling, narratives, interesting and original gameplay mechanics, but rather prefer to focus on simply baiting as much as people as possible to maximize profits and gameplay time.
There's plenty of room for online shooters to grow, the current issue is that the trendsetters have painted the entire genre into a corner where the gameplay is like soccer with 24 balls and no goalies. We need a game half-way between ARMA and Battlefield.

Watch as AVTs and Avtomats are premium weapons that are 100 times better than a STG44.
