I tried Windows movie maker (lol) because i like it simple but it gave me black borders in 1080p :c
any good programs out there that are pretty easy to use?
There's no such thing as an editing program that's good for gaming video's.
Anyway, I've heard good things about Lightworks

I don't see how gaming videos would be any different to any other kind of video, so I'll just say get Adobe Premiere if you can afford it, Final Cut if you're on a Mac.
Not sure about what's good and free. There's probably some open license programs out there that might be worth looking into if you're not concerned about files being incompatible on other computers.
