Can we all agree that pc gaming isn't dead now.
Can we all agree that pc gaming isn't dead now.
When was PC gaming ever dying?
When was PC gaming ever dying?
yes, about a week ago. but razer came and saved PC gaming
god bless razer, they died for our lack of useless gaming peripherals
I bought the game, I don't find it that fun to be honest. If I could return it for a refund I would.

Yes, £50 for a digital copy is fucking ridiculous.
Worth every penny of the $60 I paid.
I'd play it, if only it'd send those blasted authentication emails. I haven't been able to log in or do anything with my account for 3 days. The only error I've had is waiting 10 minutes and watching the launcher say my firewall is to blame. But that doesn't explain forum logins not working.
Now of course it's just a matter of waiting to see how many people will stick around. I mean, games like TOR had pretty high sales at launch and look where that's at right now.

I've already put in 80 hours into one of my characters
Your email address is probably wrong, they always arrived instantly for me.
I'd agree if it hadn't worked for a week before this. Probably time to disable the authentication...but I like being able to allow/deny access.
I want to buy it, but it's so damn expensive right now.
It's $60 for a subscription free, popular mmo. How is that expensive? In my opinion, it's worth far more than the initial cost.
I'm getting the feeling that these were not the numbers Arenanet were expecting, given the hype. Great game, nonetheless.
It's a good game but not really a fan of the way they have questing set up.
It's a good game but not really a fan of the way they have questing set up.
I think questing is just doomed to always be boring by nature. This basically takes the questing system of other MMOs, gives you several things to do that increase a progress bar rather than X of Y, removes the part where you have to find the NPC that'll give you the quest and end the quest so taking out a lot of travel time, and has basically done everything it could to make it as little an inconvenience as possible. The only issue really is you're still doing a mundane "doing it for the payoff" job.
I'm getting the feeling that these were not the numbers Arenanet were expecting, given the hype. Hell, if I brought up the name Guild Wars to anyone, pre launch of Guild Wars 2, I'd just get blank stares. This is a game that's going to sell by a good reputation, not by the "star wars" logo slapped on it.
So this adds up to, at the least, $150,000,000. That's a very low estimate, and I can imagine it being a lot more, considering how expensive it is in some countries.
I would definitely buy this if my computer wouldn't melt trying to play a modern MMO.
It's a good game but not really a fan of the way they have questing set up.
Quite frankly, I really enjoy it. Its loose and freeform, allowing you to pursue it at your leisure. Similarly, you can go to any area and work on the tasks for that area so long as you aren't too low of a level. A Sylvari can dick around in the Charr lands, a Norn can run around with the Asura. The only true quest you have is your personal story, which I like because it is influenced by the choices you made during character creation and then by the choices you make throughout the story.
Great game, must buy for everyone who loves mmos.
Definitely feels like I'm getting a whole lot more for just the one-time $60. I've put countless hours into PvE stuff since this is the first MMO world I've seen worth exploring, and I'm really getting into PvP now which is super addicting with the new combat system.
I don't think any $60 game has given me this much playability in such a short time. I've easily clocked 200-300 hours, maybe more.
Even tortanic has more subs than this scrub game. 10/10 would not subscribe.
