Jesus fucking christ Johnnii.
Thank god his account was deleted.
Welp, that cant be unseen.
The mods deleted his posts in LMAO, but didn't see the ones here :v: [editline]23rd June 2013[/editline] Oop, speak of the devil
That's a VERY bold claim to make.
Jesus fucking christ Johnnii.
I hate to ask, but what was it?
I hate to ask, but what was it?
It was a gif of someone getting his head cut off.
A slow decapitation.
It was a gif of someone getting his head cut off.
I don't understand how people pleasure themselves with that.
Fuck, gonna have trouble sleeping now.
i hope higher difficulty means things like more enemy spawns, tougher enemies earlier in the game, more advanced enemy ai, and not just "lol decreased health for player"
Thank god I didn't see THAT. But back on topic, so long as it's not bland like Wolf '09 was, more power to them. (probably already said this but whatever)
i hope higher difficulty means things like more enemy spawns, tougher enemies earlier in the game, more advanced enemy ai, and not just "lol decreased health for player"
It's probably going to be some old school "make all enemies shit-tough to kill and have every bullet take off 25% of the player health at the first level". The kind of difficulty mode that gets invalidated by modern game features, and that only works where your only option is walking back, forth, strafing and have one fire mode for all of the 4 weapons the game offers.
i hope its like how doom did it, so more enemies, and they do a bit more damage
i hope higher difficulty means things like more enemy spawns, tougher enemies earlier in the game, more advanced enemy ai, and not just "lol decreased health for player"
Its probably just going to make the enemies stronger and more of them like in the original Wolf3D. The original Wolf3D also had enemies re-spawn after a bit of time.
better ai would be amazing but i really doubt it
developers can make extremely intelligent ai but often times it's dumbed down because fighting realistic enemies would be incredibly difficult, but with 5 difficulty settings they have a lot of room to experiment. have whatever the default difficulty setting is be the bog standard fps enemy ai, and ramps things up from there. make the enemies incredibly intelligent on "i am death incarnate". make them difficult to fight against. make me feel like i am fighting actual thinking, intelligent beings. there's your difficulty, not the boring "more health" method of making combat a slog.
better ai would be amazing but i really doubt it
Main issue with good AI is that it just eats up CPU.
I just hope it's not like those Hardcore difficulties that will simply set enemies hp to a very large amount, so you'll have to use most of your ammo just to defeat one of them, and also their damage to one or two hits and you're dead.

Alright, I'll play the hardest difficulty on my first playthrough. If I only die 10 times or less, then I will swear.
No checkpoints, NES hard tia
That is literally what the hardest difficulty will do. Your vision slowly gets obscured by your crying and you have to manually wipe your eyes, leaving you defenseless for a couple seconds.
Challenge accepted.

I had a bowl of nails for breakfast!

So?
So?
Without milk
I'm looking forwards to this, hopefully they don't screw it up.
