Five men have been extradited to the U.S. from Thailand for their alleged participation in a drug trafficking ring involving the import of crystal meth produced in North Korea, a militarized nation that is one of the most reclusive in the world. The men were arrested last September after they allegedly promised North Korean-made methamphetamines to undercover agents of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to be imported into the United States. Federal authorities reported Tuesday that they were to be extradited. Two of the men, who officials say were members of a Hong Kong-based criminal organization, allegedly sold more than 66 pounds of meth produced in North Korea in 2012. That crystal meth was later seized by law enforcement and tested to be more than 99 percent pure, even purer than the meth cooked by Walter White, the fictional teacher-turned-drug lord in the popular TV series, "Breaking Bad."
http://america.aljazeera.com/articles/2013/11/21/5-charged-with-smugglingmethfromnorthkorea.html
I love how they have to refer everything to a fictional character when it's a real-world event. Also, I thought it was common knowledge that North Korea had some pretty hefty professional drug production to support the economy.
Well, Lydia did want to expand their meth operation overseas.
I love how they have to refer everything to a fictional character when it's a real-world event. Also, I thought it was common knowledge that North Korea had some pretty hefty professional drug production to support the economy.
why would that be common knowledge
why would that be common knowledge
Common knowledge for anyone who knows much of anything about North Korea beyond lol shitty missiles, and who isn't a brainwashed drone like Rayhalo. It's been revealed several times that North Korea has an industrial meth production, along with a few other drugs; and that they export most all of it.
I guess they got..... what they deserved. YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH, Bitch.
why would that be common knowledge
Valid point - I guess a lot of people don't remember what happened with the Pong Su a decade ago. Anyway, NK has been doing this for a while, in the face of sanctions, to generate cash - much like how Afghan warlords post the Soviet Invasion were able to raise funds through the opium fields in Afghanistan. Not much more to it than that.
Well yeah, they probably put top state scientists to work on a fucking meth lab.
Wait, so they were North Koreans commiting a crime in Thailand and they're being extradited to the US? I mean, I know they tried to sell to DEA agents, but even if they were cooperating with Thailand on this case, wouldn't it make a lot more sense to have the trial in Thailand? Even if they were selling to the US it's kinda irrelevant? It's a bit confusing at best.
Only our dear leader Kim-Jong Il could have made such pure meth. He turned the tears of fallen enemies into the purest meth as a shooting star hit the top of Korea's most sacred mountain.
Wait so is it completely legal in NK to produce drugs and everything? I really don't know that much about NK except for a Vice documentary.
Almost 100% clear meth? I wonder how high would Tuco be :v:

Imagine having absolute control over a country like that.
