there was thread here awhile talking about an Earth Size organism(s) that lived Billions of years ago on Earth ( Think it was 2.5-3 Billons years Ago) anyways it was one huge living organism that was all over the planet anyways what was it called . ?

Largest single living organism ever IIRC is called like Pando or something.
I think it was a news thread about a hypothesis that at one point in time microorganisms cooperated to form a giant colonial organism.
