This is most interesting to me because of the motion controls, IR cursor, and gamepad. If I were to purchase the Nintendo, Wii U DK, and Source Engine licenses, how is the engine going to support the console? One more thing, has this been done before?

For starters, the Wii U's CPU is still based off of powerPC.
Wasn't ZombiU made with the Source engine?
I don't see a reason why it could not be done but it would probably involve porting the engine so yeah.
Most definitely, though it won't change the fact that the Wii U played catch-up with the PS3 and 360.

There's 2 answers here
Yes, it is possible to port over the entire Source SDK and assets to work on the Wii U's tech
No, Valve (to my knowledge) no longer licenses out the Source Engine.

So was the XBox 360 and PlayStation 3, which had the Source Engine running on them.
