And then everybody complained, regardless.
How about you just stick to a design instead of changing it constantly. They have the worse designer ever. Can't even keep to one design.
but the three column format made running a facebook page really easy. why would they change that
It does look less cluttered. I like how they've put both chat and apps in the bar on the left. The big chat bar on the right always looked quite tacked-on and weird Bigger advertisements are clearly the best feature though
My first thought was this:
It looks sort-of-tablety but not too much. I like it. Hopefully it will be functionally good too... One that does piss me off about big redesigns like this is they always do parts of the site at a time. The News Feed will now look like this but I bet groups and profiles will still look the same for another 6 months until they get around to that. It's the same with YouTube where channels currently look totally different from the rest of the site and they're only just starting to roll out the new design [editline]7th March 2013[/editline] BTW you can go here to sign up for the 'waiting list' for the new design
Again? FFS
does this explain why facebook has refused to work on my desktop or something? i don't want to ask for help with this because i'll look like a dumb soccer mom that doesn't know how to do anything into computers
I like it.
Aww man, it will take ages until F.B. Purity updates for the new layout.

Facelifts are only supposed to be done by trained professionals.

I wouldn't have noticed this if Mashable hadn't pointed it out.
Looks like ubuntu unity aswell, as if sidebars are original.
I didn't pay close enough attention when I skimmed it, so I thought it was the OSX dock. It's definitely not a unique thing. [editline]7th March 2013[/editline]
why has my facebook not changed
They roll out features in some weird way (probably AB testing or something). I have the new search, but it still asks me "What's on your mind?"
why has my facebook not changed
It's an opt-in beta at this point.
