Doesn't look half bad, though I'm mostly waiting for any info on Terrorist Hunt.
I hope they get rid of the generic ammo pool in the final game and have magazines that retain ammo. I hate it when you can just reload after every kill without consequence
Looks a lot less cooler than that staged preview I saw a while back, granted it was staged. [editline]21st March 2015[/editline] Also I think the game would benefit greatly from a minimalist hud. Seeing where your team mates are at all times kind of takes away from the "tactical" element of it.
-snip-
And the fucking indicators that float around mid screen the whole fucking game. Why is this in every other game? What kind of idiot needs to know where the objective or hostage is 24/7
The video got taken down due to a copyright claim from Ubisoft. Anyone else able to see it?
Anyone have a mirror?
the combat looks pretty bland, i was kinda hoping it would be like RS vegas/vegas 2
It's a tactical fps based highly on realism, they can't just make something like that for the sake of convince.
What? He's saying he would prefer it if it was more realistic by having a set number of magazines that retain the number of bullets in them when you switch them out for fresh ones, rather than being able to reload over and over and over again with 100% full magazines each time. Basically more like it is in Arma than Global Offensive, for example. You obviously read the comment wrong.

It's down. I signed up right when the beta came out, never got in. Yet people who screw with the copyright get in. Kind of jealous.
Anyone have a mirror?
I sadly don't, but here's some screens found on /r/Rainbow6: http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2015/12/1426878673-rss.jpg http://imgur.com/a/enjnh
Why does the HUD look like CS:GO with more shit on screen? There'd better be a mode where only the vital information is shown, ammo and time. Also hit markers, not a fan in tactical games.

Oh Jesus, at the beginning when the player puts up a door barricade and his teammate immediately destroys it and puts up his own barricade. :v:
will this game have a singleplayer campaign?
Oh man this looks really fun, as is fun to watch, is there any more footage?
I can't believe they're letting children play the alpha, wow Game itself looks pretty good, though there's no sign of ingame communication. Nothing too tactical.
will this game have a singleplayer campaign?
Nope. Multiplayer only.
Video got taken down again.
Video got taken down again.
they really don't want us watching this game that they're letting complete strangers on the internet play, huh

Loving those textures which say ALPHA all over it.
For those wonder, the MP5 MLI doesn't have some gold call of duty skin. H&K puts out the newly manufactured ones in baby poop brown. Official designation is RAL 8000
The game looks pretty good. It should be at least $25-40 (it will bound to have some minor microtransactions).
I wish. There's no way Ubisoft puts this out at less than full retail price (60 USD). I think there will be a single player and coop mode, there's so much demand for it in a Rainbow Six game and they have to justify that price point somehow.
I don't see the point of PvP with symmetrical teams in a R6 game, where's the tactical operations and shit ? I sure hope that isn't the focus.
I honestly hope Siege will actually be a good game. Not only did the dev team actually have a playable gameplay demo back at the announcement but they also got a blog where they post updates alongside a subreddit created by the devs where they occasionally respond and read through. Those of you with an Uplay account can also sign up for a closed alpha btw.
I don't see the point of PvP with symmetrical teams in a R6 game, where's the tactical operations and shit ? I sure hope that isn't the focus.
Every Rainbow Six game has had PvP with symmetrical teams. Also all of their marketing has been based around this 5v5 competitive multiplayer, so you can bet that it's the focus of the game. It's definitely inspired by CS:GO. Ubisoft lacks a game with a big MP draw, so this is supposed to be it for them. Even though they're throwing around references to Raven Shield and Rogue Spear, you should abandon all hope that this is going to be the old school tactical Rainbow Six that you want it to be. You'll just be setting yourself up for disappointment, especially since this is UBISOFT. I just hope that it can provide a fun semi-tactical mp experience that is half as good as the old games.
Is this only 5v5? Wasn't Vegas 8v8?
