Last I remember this was still in beta.... and in Korean. Though that was years ago.
I'm sure it went through a overhaul and turned into a somewhat different game under the same name
That's about time. I'm pretty sure I was 12 when they announced it.
I loved the first game and played it a lot but I remember trying this one and being disappointed, so eh..

"In July 2010 it was announced the first iteration of the game"
?

It had a few English betas a few months back I think. I remember playing it and not really liking it because its gameplay was pretty run of the mill. Also you can make male characters look like a girl.
I've heard that it's pretty shit compared to the original Ragnarok Online. They've made many changes to what made RO uniaue, essentially "wowifying" it (or so I've heard)
"This item is currently unavailable in your region"
ugh
Anyone able to get in? I still try every single free mmo I can, so I can support any opinions I have of the game.
I've played this before on non-steam. If you can't access it on steam you can try the main website. Game is pretty decent, but nothing short of new. Good time waster with friends especially friends with crappy computers.

Nope. Just comes up with that 'Checking Warp Portal' nonsense.
Played this a while back on the SEA version. It gets boring REALLY quickly. Saying how they "WoW'ed" it up is kind of an understatement as the only things it retains from the original are some of the monsters and the cruel, cruel grind.
About the only real positives I can say is that Cooking isn't tacked on like it literally was for the original RO and there is a good possibility Blacksmithing won't end up worthless later in the games life.
Despite my complaints, probably still will end up playing it at some point.
Very bad optimization. Pain in the ass installation, and i had to proxy in order to make an account.
Other than that i'll give it a try.

The original ragnarok was basically grind the game and once you got past that it still wasn't very good. So to be honest, even though I don't really like WoW I guess WoW'ing it up wouldn't be -worse-.
I'll try this game out.
