OK, my budget is £500, I've got the mouse, monitor etc. and I've got the OS, so I just need the PC.
I was thinking somewhere along the lines of AMD Phenom II X4 955 for the processor, ATI Radeon HD4870 for the graphics and 4/6GB of DDR3 1600MHz RAM, but obviously if you have any better ideas that's fine by me :)
I use the PC for playing WoW, Source games and 3d stuff.

I would settle with 4GB of Ram, personally. It's cheaper and 6GB is a bit overkill.
4GB is more than enough for WoW and Source Games anyways. Not sure what you mean by, "3d stuff" though. Sorry if I sound stupid :>.

By 3d stuff I mean modelling in programs like 3d studio max.

I would stick with 4GB of ram. It'll last you a while, I just purchased parts for my new rig and I chose 4.
Ah yes, I have friends that use 3DS Max & Photoshop and 4GB suits them fine.
