Damn, if it was anything like the live action short movies, it would've been cool as fuck.
I'm not a big halo fan, but Neil Blomkamp and Peter Jackson would've made an amazing film together. Fuck you Microsoft. At least we got District 9 out of this whole ordeal.
thank fuck

Their live action adverts for every game they do are phenomenal too, at least from medium budget view.
That's kind of sad. People have been waiting for this for several years now.
Would have been interesting to make a movie bridging the gap between 3 and 4.
district 9 was not about an armored man using alien weapons
it was about a man-bug using alien weapons :)
I doubt it would've been about the Master Chief.
They could've done it about the abusive structure of the SPARTAN-II program.
when I heard that Peter Jackson was directing
Producing. I don't remember it ever being reported that he was director.
[editline]19th April 2012[/editline]
Yeah earliest announcement was Peter Jackson as executive producer.
What a bunch of fookin' prawns
God dammit microsoft.

Where absolutely nothing happens?
The picture in the article looks so damn nice
That's a shame.

Its from one of the Halo 3 Live action Shorts I think.
They could have at least made a web series or something.
Microsoft is lacking is profits recently and it saw this as a opportunity.
It could have been one, unfortunately they leveraged it too much and it broke.

This is what I was thinking. Something tells me that either the writer was trying too hard to find a connection between the two or that they've never seen the film.
Wasn't the original script about the battle of Reach? Oh and 343 said if they made a movie it would have nothing to do with with things we already know so why bother.

Yup Michael bay can direct that movie
Just throw in some randomly happening explosions and a hot chick (lol they never are hot in his movies) and you got yer halo movie

cant have any smart and hot chicks though or they might cause him problems
I remember freaking out over land fall as a kid.
I would really love a realistic movie with just marines or ODST's, the one shot they die brutal war kind.
Doesn't surprise me. They never really took the opportunity to look better and therefore get more possibilities by being a bit less greedy.
Pretty much all of Halos live action trailers have been good.
what's with all this Halo news all of a sudden?
Because halo 4 is coming out this year
i don't think it's as incredible as everyone says but the games i would say are pretty good
Good, we don't need any more terrible video game movies.

Watch it without annotations if you don't want the translations.

Because this really would've been a terrible video game movie. District 9 says otherwise.
