Question: Is a 700W Psu necessary? I'm not trying to skimp on money, I just really have no idea what is needed.

A 550-650w would be more than enough for now. Consider my build, if your budget can expand, get a better psu, like a corsair hx series or something.

QuikKill is right, I only chose that PSU in case you wanted to expand in the future.
