I can hear all my outbound sound. It's destroying my ears and psyche. Help.

So anyways, all the outbound sound going through my mic, I can hear inbound about half a second or less later.

It does not matter what headphones or microphone I use.

I can not find the question by google or any other method so this is my last resort. I already went through the options in my control panel etc. and couldn't find anything. Any suggestions? Love you guys

What program are you using and is this with USB mics too?

Mute the mic in volume options. Right click the volume icon, click recording devices, select microphone, click properties, select listen, uncheck "listen to this device".
