I don't remember, it's very hazy but, on the computer I had when I was like 10, I think I was able to make the screen smaller and mess with the offset and stuff.
Mess with the menu on the monitor, see if there's a option to expand the screen.
That's all I can offer.

I've already said that I've tried that and the Monitor settings are greyed out.
And I just recently tried the software from the disc. All that stuff is greyed out too.

Have you tried the "resize hdtv desktop" option? (Assuming you have an nvidia card)
