Right now I've got a pretty good computer, with a pretty bad ATI Radeon HD 3870 X 2 in it.
So, to be able to play Bad Company 2 properly (One of the few games I'm having issues with, although Crysis is starting to lag but now too) I'm buying a new video card.
Budget: 200$
Goal: More bang for my buck.
So, what do you recommend?
I saw a 9400GT for about 130$
Full current system spec including monitor resolution and power supply info?
Also, if it's a link to a site, make sure it ships to Norway.
You Americans would be surprised how deprived we are of resources. :(

Power supply?
If he is running two 3870s I am sure power consumption is not a big deal.
True, the X2 does take quite a lot of juice.

This means, no Newegg.

Why would I need it translated? :v:

This is the one I'm after, right;?

Ok, I'm getting the XFX 5770.
I saw a 9400GT for about 130$
The 9400 isn't even worth 50$. And why the FUCK would he downgrade to a piece of shit like the 9400?

Good choice.
I have the xfx 5770 (overclocked one), as it was on sale for a lower price than the standard edition (komplett). I'm pretty sastifited with it, I've yet to meet a game which it can't max (im running 1280:1024). off topic; How do you think a 4gb - i5 750 - xfx 5770 rig will run BC2 on full? (res :1280x1024)

Woah, holy shit, we have the exact same specs. Bought my things from Komplett, aswell. Except for the GPU. Bought that one from NetOnNet. Anyways, I haven't tried BFBC2 with this GPU, but I had a 4670 before, and I ran it on high with an average of 40 FPS. We should be able to max it out with around 50 FPS.
Nice. Good to a have guy with the same rig :D.

I like how we both live in the same county with the (soon) same graphics cards and the same screen resolution (Basically same specs here too) with common goals - running BC2 without problems.
My current list being:
#1
When I change the game quality, the screen goes white and I can't really do anything. I force shut it down with ctrl+alt+del and the settings are re-set. I can't do anything about it.
#2
In the campaign cutscenes often turn into a blue/purple overlay on the screen with bars on the side flashing black and yellow.
#3
Water is black.
#4
Textures flash. I know this is fixed by turning off Cataclyst A.I. in the ATI control panel, but for some reason doing this rapidly crashes my framerate. This should be fixed if you don't want to be faced with epilepsy charges by someone in court.
#5
Searching for servers takes 5+ minutes. Applying filters takes 5+ minutes. I have fiberoptics with a 50mbps connection.
#6
The framerate stays at a stable 15-25 frames per second (Medium settings, low crash the game(?). All background apps are shut down...
I run crysis on "Very high" at a stable 30-40 FPS.
#7
Half of the servers can't be joined. "This server is full" (Even when it isn't) or "Connection timed out" - no PB disconnects though luckily.
#8
Sometimes all the text in the UI is gone. Sometimes it's larger. Sometimes it's smaller. Sometimes it's overlapping.
Sometimes it says "mp_kills_deaths" instead of "Server browser" and "Play now"
#9
Frequent crashes occur. No error messages.
#10
Doesn't show correct stats some times. And some times it doesn't show how many XP is required until this and that.
#11
Loading is incredibly long.
#12
Sometimes cutscenes jerk. Not lagging or anything, but the animated models are just stiff & moving lacking animations.
That's all I can think of for now. There are probably more.
By the way, I also purchased mine from komplett.

What's your current specs?
O shi- So whats you other specs? Lets compare,
Cpu: i5 750
mobo: ga-p55-ud3
gpu: xfx 5770 "xxx" 875 mhz
psu: corsair 550w
ram: Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1600MHz 4GB CL9
os: Windows 7 premium 64-bit
Meh, nothing custom (Other then the graphics card I'll get in the mail soon. :v: )

EDIT:
Like I mentioned in a post further up.
Might get Windows 7, but we'll see.
So let me get this straight ; You have problems with BC2, and have ordered a xfx 5770 to your pre-built Dell? To fix the problems? So the 5770 is not causing it?
I ordered the gfx card to extend it's gaming time.
I don't really need anything extreme, as long as it plays games at a good framerate, and keeps doing that for the next year or two.
No need to build a PC when I could get a pretty decent one 50% off anyway.
And, yes, I do have a good enough power supply for the 5770.
5770, I'd avoid XFX if I were you.

My XFX 5770 hasn't failed me yet, had it since november, no crashes, no overheats, and does everything i throw at it, save for the DX11 demo on max settings.
But that was before i had a quad core, hrm.
5770, I'd avoid XFX if I were you.
Reasons why I got the XFX:
1) It was cheaper. (Something that goes against what I've seen in other forums, but that's how it was. ;)
2) It got better review scores.
3) It lasts longer.
Reasons why I shouldn't get it:
1) ...
It doesn't last longer
It getting better reviews is BS because it's basically same card as, say, a Sapphire or PowerColor 5770.
