So, everyone seems to have this delusion about Hawaii. People think that this place is a paradise with wonderful weather 24/7, gentle breeze, nice locals, nice ocean, and generally a good fucking place to live forever. Oh only if they had enough money to live. If you're one of these people, I have one thing to say to you:
[B]It's all a fucking myth[/b].
I have no idea where this idea of a perfect paradise Hawaii was conceived, or even still thought of today. Being raised in this gigantic hellhole, I have noting but disdain and hatred for it. The only reason I live here is because family, friends, and my financial ties. Let's go see what the myths of Hawaii is shall we?

HAHA, NO. It constantly rains here in Hawaii, and it seems Mother Nature/God is having trouble coordinating it. It will rain heavily for 15 seconds and it will abruptly disappear for no reason, and will appear when your outside. When your inside, it will magically disappear only to piss on your face when you walk outside. Raining is such a problem here, I can't go outside these days without seeing puddles everywhere. Every street will be black because it's so wet.
If that's bad, it's even worse during summer. Out of all days for the cool rain to drop down on us, it never appears. The temperature spikes so high, I often forget this is Hawaii and mistaken it for Texas. What doesn't help is the fact that air conditions is still a luxury here, so your here to be melted in your own fucking house. It's amazing no one here somehow dies of heatstroke. I think God is trying to torture Hawaiians for their past sins or something.
[b] Nice locals who'll greet you with a warm Aloha and a shaka [/b]
FEW. Only a few will do that, and it's mostly people employed by tourist management. Nice locals, both Hawaiians and non-Hawaiians is dying race here. Some locals are trying to save their reputation, but unfortunately, for every step they take, these angry locals make step back twice.

Locals in Hawaii are truly troubled people. I'm not being racist here, because this shit applies to everyone, even Asians nowadays.
They constantly fight, threaten people, do drugs, deal drugs, and generally make trouble with people who doesn't want any. These guys are [b]especially[/b] hostile to white people, they'll call you a haole, which is essentially the N word for white guys in Hawaii. They WILL pick a fight with you. When I was at the airport to drop shit off for relatives, I saw a white visitor wave a hello to a Hawaiian local. BAD CHOICE.
The local immediately yelled that he was a haole, threaten to false crack him, and tried to provoke him into a fight. Fortunately, airport security saved that white guy from a lot of trouble. If your white and you just have to come here, stay away from locals with no shirt and no shoes. Approach people if only they look especially nice and wearing Aloha shirts.
Here's a dictionary for understanding hostile language:
Faka = Fucker
False Crack = Punch you in the face, either looking or not looking. It varies.
Haole = Derogatory term for white people.
Lick you = Beat your ass
Mob = Beat your ass, this time, with his friends.
Scrap = A fight
If you're ever to come here, take a boxing lesson first, because these guys know how to fight. People in my neighborhood knows the meaning of education and discipline. Most neighborhood such as Waianae has descended into chaos because they don't give a fuck. They don't care their kids are doing Meth. They don't care their kids are scrapping with other kids. They can become gangsters for all they care. Everyone in this island is addicted to gangster rap.

Hawaii is actually in a lot of trouble at the moment, even worse than most of the states in Mainland. Tourism was one of the primary finances we ever made, because of the recession, we're not getting much money here. It's so bad, we instated furlough Fridays and taxing everything.

[B] TAX. EVERYTHING. [/b]. No seriously, taxes are out of control here, and every market is jacking up the prices like crazy. One bottle of soda is at least somewhere $1.70 to a whopping $2.50 with taxes. No, I am not joking.

Majority of the Island is politically conserative. That's right, their conservative. They only voted for Obama because he's a local. [b]That's right, out of everyone reason to vote for a candidate for the United States of America, majority admitted they voted for Obama because he was a local here[/b]. Homosexuals is not received here because this is a major Christian state. At least 4/5 of this state are hardcore Christians. And hypocrites of a Christian at that. Say anything bad about their faith, they'll try to punch you. Yes, these guys who believe in the almighty peaceful bible will beat you up because you don't believe in it.

Did I mention Hawaii is the #1 state of Crystal Meth use? If you ever watch Dog the Bounty Hunter, you'll see that majority of the people he bailed out and caught were meth users or meth dealers. Our Government here can't do shit other than [b]SPAM[/b] anti-meth advertisement. Which the Meth users ignore constantly.

One minor thing, which isn't negative but worth noting: True Hawaiians are going extinct here. Just how in the Mainland, where the whites are becoming minority due to Mexicans and blacks, Hawaiians are becoming a minority. Filipinos, Japanese, Koreans, and Chinese people are dominating this Island at the moment. Even these Asians, which I am, are becoming more violent every time I see them. It's like Khorne is watching over us.
tl;dr : This is a shitty place to live in. Horrid weather, horrid violent locals, recession taking a toll, majorly conserative, and meth addicted state. Don't ever come here to live here.

I didn't want to go to Hawaii ever... I knew it was like this from a friend that went to possibly move there. She met a lot of racism for being white and overall it just sounds like a shitty place. If you want an island paradise go to the Caribbean.

Not like I'd be going to an American island but, yano, it's a sure way that my wife doesn't drag me there.
I've traveled to Hawaii a couple of times and we spoke with a women who had moved out to one of the islands and she warned us that moving there is a bad choice because of the living conditions and expenses. She said she pretty much regretted moving there and that no one should decide to move there no matter what it seems like while on vacation.

I've been to Hawaii once, for two weeks. It was sunny along the shoreline and constantly raining up in the mountains the entire time. There are homeless people everywhere outside of Honolulu, slums, and etc.

I'm Hawaiian and I have a lot of family there. When I visit I get treated well by the locals, but I stay out of the city and don't act like a barney.
North shore is pretty chill. Nice for kick backs and parties.
