[release]Säpo (Säkerhetspolisen - Security Police) are seeing a raised terror threat toward Sweden and the chief Anders Danielsson has decided to raise the readiness level. Now the threat level is raised one step, from low threat to raised threat. It compares to a raise from level two to three on a five-leveled scale.
– This is a conclusive judgement of intention to commit crime and ability to commit crime, says Danielsson as explanation to the decision.
– There is a specific threat in Sweden. But since we now are on a raised threat level it means we have the situation under good control. We are saying that there is not an immediate threat, explains the Säpo chief, who does not specifically want to solidly concretize what immediate actually means.
– It's not today, it's not tomorrow, it's further away than that.
Chief prosecutor Tomas Lindstrand in office of the prosecutor is for now, for safety reasons, extraordinarily silent.
– If there currently are any ongoing investigations or if anyone has been taken into custody I do not want to answer due to investigative purposes and of all the other purposes in the world, says Lindstrand to TT.
Thus he does not want to respond either on where in Sweden the "changed activity" should have been noticed or if Islamists are behind the escalating threat.
- The raised level should not be noticed in form of for example more in-depth controls of passengers on airports, says Anders Bredfell, press manager on airports Arlanda och Bromma, which like many other airports are run by Swedavia.
- It is nothing that travellers will notice.
Bredfell does not want to comment on how the security work is conducted, but says it's not for sure that it will change.[/release]

So basically because the threat level is raised they want us to believe they have their shit under control? :downs:
And first France, then UK, now Sweden? Is this the brink of WWIII or some crazy conspiracy shit?
Well I'll be damned.
What do random terrorist groups want to achieve with terrorizing random countries, anyways?
What do random terrorist groups want to achieve with terrorizing random countries, anyways?
Random terrorization of Random unterrorized masses.

Yeah, Sweden was so random and peaceful until those whatever they are (Probably Islamic/Arabs since theyre the most bashed guys around the world) came around and sprayed their shit all over.

Yea, it's kind of lame that Arabic terrorist groups attack places like Sweden. Places like United Kingdom, France and USA are more strategically important targets for terrorist groups from Arabic countries IMO. It kind of reminds me of that pointless terrorist attack which happened in Bosnia not too long ago.
A guy in Sweden made fun of muslims, his house got burned

since nobody gave me a clear answer i'm just gonna assume this.
hell, it wouldn't surprise me considering they still have kings and queens as their rulers.
Hurrah for being unspecific and cryptic. That'll really put everyone's minds at ease.

Yes, they have an army. Military service there recently became non-mandatory though. They also have an impressive weapons industry. Which is ironic because they always seem to present themselves as the avatar of neutrality.

Considering they're on of them major exporters of weapons i'm pretty sure they know how to defend them self against Terrorists.
Also, Constitutional Monarchies get alot of money from tourism, mainly Asian and American.
Terrorists, please don't blow up Sweden. They're one of the only cool countries we have left. :saddowns:
I doubt that there's any real terrorist threat against Sweden, probably just people in power trying to get better control over the people through fear (FRA for example). Looks like we're following in the big boys footsteps (USA).

Being neutral means you can sell your guns to everyone.
Our King carries a sword, i am not worried.

more like true neutral
Also, Constitutional Monarchies get alot of money from tourism, mainly Asian and American.
I read an article on this and, if I remember correctly, having a royal family makes about 20% more profit through tourists than the royal family needs for their luxurious lifestyle.

So it's all good, making moneys and all.
Weee! The government is making this shitty country even less democratic.
Why? Because random terror is more general-terror inducing than terror in the expected places.

Not only that but they can use our taxes to pay for their awesome weddings
Why on earth would they bomb Sweden? I can understand why they would be pissed at Denmark, Muhammed drawing and all, but I don't recall Sweden doing anything specific to piss them off.
