Will a 5770 or a 450 work with a 500w Corsair PSU? Dont know which to get yet though.
they'll both work but post specs and budget regardless
Without a doubt.
Yes they will work, but what Jaehead said.
budget is 110-120 pounds, also should i upgrade anything else?[not cpu just yet]
9800GT to a 5770 isn't tht much of an upgrade.. Consider saving up some money, and then buy something like a 6870 or even a 6950. Or the Nvidia equilant, if it's cheaper/better.
a 5770 would just about double your performance
Yay. Thanks.
As you can see from this benchmark: http://www.guru3d.com/article/radeon-hd-5770-review-test/16 a 5770 won't increase performance alot.
a 5770 would just about double your performance
Not double, more like 1.25 or so in my opinion.
What about a 460? Gonna stick with Nvidia[always had nvidia cards] But if you can convince me otherwise [editline]19th December 2010[/editline] I guess instead of making a new thread, i'll post here. What else should i upgrade in my PC? Or is the rest fine? Also just incase someone didnt read the rest of the thread, also what is a good keyboard for under 30 pounds?[that ram is now dual channel by the way and i WILL be getting windows 7 64-bit very soon]

The only thing you need is Windows 7.

5770 would also be a good upgrade from 9800 GT. http://www.guru3d.com/article/radeon-hd-5770-review-test/20 Almost 20 FPS increase. That's a lot when you only have 30 to start with.
Will a 5770 or a 450 work with a 500w Corsair PSU? Dont know which to get yet though.
GTX 460. Beats both the Radeon 5770 and the 450 by a clear margin. It is also better than the Radeon HD 5850 in many different tests. It is probably the most ideal mid range card on the market.
