Whats the point, many people have already judged the game
The people who wanted to take a look at it already pirated it... Waste of resources.
I remember being so hyped for this game when I saw the first video on it. Once I saw the price tag and lack of effort for the pc 'port', I felt betrayed. No demo for us, along with a console price tag? No thanks. I've been curious how the visuals are on the PC, but I don't think I'll be going anywhere further than the demo until it has a massive sale of nearly 80% off.
Hahahaha noooo
The only good thing about Bulletstorm was its unique cast of characters and dialog and by unique I of course mean the huge amount of dick jokes and low brow comedy. Otherwise the game is the most generic short boring crapfest I've played in a while. Finished this game in a measly 6 hours while battling fps problems which caused random changes in mouse sensitivity even with forced vsync and triple buffering on a rig that is at least 2.5x the xbox's graphical and computational power. Crysis 2 runs on a steady 60 fps on high but this thing locks up randomly and lags when too much is going on. Don't think thats it though. The gameplay is as linear as it gets. Not even the news bots, which is the only other objective in the game that you will probably complete accidentally, are hidden in anyway. Points and unlocks are easy as hell to get, there is no replay value or challenge to the game at all. The combos are very limited and you almost have no control over which combos you can use because the environment has to be set up just right most of the time. The idea is great with the combos and what not, but it was executed very poorly. I had a lot of faith in the company and the game which is why I bought the game without any demo or anything. Huge mistake and my trust in them has evaporated. Bad port of a bad game. The reviews on this game make me want to smash my head against a wall because some of the guys reviewing it have no place doing what they do. With a metascore of 84 (which is pretty low but not low enough) I really am starting to doubt the validity of metacritic. Do not waste $60 dollars on this game. Oh and did I mention you can't jump? Yeah you can't jump because, you know, you're probably busy managing all those complex combos with your huge arsenal of 3 weapons all while trying to outsmart AI that would make duke nukem's npcs seem human.
Awful game. Also, some critics and the devs claim that the game's dialogue is extremely unique and language is inappropriate and hilarious. It's not, if anything most of the time it's just the cast throwing satirical insults at each other with not as much as a chuckle from the player.
Sounds like Duke Nukem.
Except that Duke's remarks are hilarious with originality and a nice ring to them. Bulletstorm just tries too hard.

I liked it. I don't think it was worth the $60 pricetag, at all, which is my biggest gripe with games nowadays... the pricetag is increasing and the amount of content is decreasing. But all in all, I liked the game. It had a pretty cool environment, the General really pissed me off with how he acted, but that's good since he's the antagonist. The combat was alright, but it looked very pretty and I liked the variety with the weapons. Like I said, I like the game, but it's nowhere near worth the price tag.
This is like them releasing the Black Ops demo on Xbox Live a month ago.
And then Cliffy B comes out and says "SEE WE RELEASED DEMO BUT PEOPLE STILL PIRATE IT! PC MARKET IS DEAD!"
And then Cliffy B comes out and says "SEE WE RELEASED DEMO BUT PEOPLE STILL PIRATE IT! PC MARKET IS DEAD!"
Cliff acts like a douche most of the time, I wouldn't be surprised if he did that.
I regret buying it, absolutely terrible game. The multiplayer was a joke and the story was so generic it wasn't even worth having one.

off-topic: I think if you write more than 2 sentences on facepunch people just don't read the post.
opinion
Your point?
I thought the game was fun, but there's no replay value to it. I should have spent my $60 on Killzone 3 instead. Also why is everybody pissed about the demo? Most games are really easy to tell if a game is going to suit your tastes or not just by looking at some gameplay videos.
Your point?
it's an opinion he cannot physically speak for everyone like he's trying to do with this part of the post
it's just the cast throwing satirical insults at each other with not as much as a chuckle from the player.
because that is his opinion and he does not represent the rest of the people that played bulletstorm [editline]5th April 2011[/editline] i personally enjoyed the game and found it humorous as well, despite being a little small-minded with the dick jokes
I played the PS3 demo and was not overly impressed I'm interested in giving it a go with the different control scheme, probably a sale game though what with the Witcher 2 next month and Portal 2 this month

It was a bit of fresh air at a non-serious shooter. It was actually fun and it kept a smug smile on my face 90% of the time.
The gameplay is as linear as it gets.
I agree the game was shit, but not because of its linearity. Linearity or non linearity doesnt make a game bad or worse, its like debating whether FPS or RPG is a better genre.
Once I saw the price tag and lack of effort for the pc 'port', I felt betrayed.
Crysis 2 much?
Played for 5 minutes to finish the demo, was not impressed at all and promptly uninstalled.
A great game with some flaws, but not enough to stop you from buying it (at a discounted price).
I like how pretty much everyone forgot about this game.
I like how pretty much everyone forgot about this game.
Well, what made it different from any other game ?
