Like the ones from 2000, ones with IDE Cables for Hard-Drives and shit.
No, they probably won't, but I wouldn't put it past ebay to have a few.
ide is still around and will be for some time
Why would they, and no they dont.

Horrible example. IDE ports are still found on the latest flagship motherboards.

normally one slot though, My motherboard has 3 xD lol, I've got to upgrade.
I used to love IDE, but just cable size is a turn off :(

why would you love it? It's slow as dick and inconvenient as dick. You may as well use USB.
Proberally do for super low end buikls, Check Craigslist. :buddy:

USB (2.0 anyway) is slower than IDE. Bro. And how is it inconvenient? Are setting jumpers confusing for you? SATA, I admit is better since it is faster, but you are blowing it way out of proportion.

No it's just that cable management is impossible with IDE ribbons, and most motherboards have at least a couple of EHCI controllers which allows for up to 120 MB/s from a USB 2.0 port. It's still 13 MB/s slower but what is more convenient? And SATA is much, much faster than IDE for transfer rates as well as a much smaller cable which you can actually cable manage with.
if you still use IDE and want half decent cable managment

The only thing that's kinda off market, is the IDE port for kassettes, and AGP
Everything else is on almost all motherboards.

I use those in my older systems, shit's not a whole lot better. You can't bend them like you can standard ide ribbons or SATA cables
That's why you cut off the rubber covering at the end of each connectors. Those are annoying.

Yeah the rubber cover is annoying but the shit they use to keep it all nice and bunched up doesn't bend very well
IIRC some recent motherboards still offer IDE. My buddy was telling me how his had one and that he would never ever want to put an IDE cable in his case because they are a pain in the ass...
Every motherboard you can find has IDE, even the highest end ones (Maximus III Rampage)

But... how many main stream hard drives do you see peaking at over 133mb/s? Even on SATA?
IDE still has its uses, overclockers love it because of its tollerence to bus speed changes.

None, but that doesn't matter. Lets just keep IDE then because SATA isn't needed, right?

He didn't say that. SATA has it's uses and IDE has it's uses.
