Right, so Hardkor 44 is a film set to be released between 2010 and 2011 in Poland. Now, most people here, who live outside Poland, would likely never know this exists if not for this glorious thing called the internet, which allows me to do just as I am now-detailing what we know about this film so you can go see it as soon as it's dubbed or subbed.
It's directed by Polish director Tomek Baginski with effects produced by Polish effects company Platige Image, who, I must say, do really nice CGI. The film is currently in pre-production, and very little is known about it besides what little has been released and what we can gather from the awesome concept art. I've read both that the movie may be in full CGI or that it may be part live-action, part CGI.
The story is the story of the Warsaw Uprising in 1944, which is basically that in 1944 when the Soviets were pushing into Europe after defeating the Germans in Stalingrad, the Polish underground resistance movement attempted a nation-wide revolt against the Nazis in an attempt to regain control of Warsaw so as to better combat the Axis later on and control the city before Soviet troops could occupy and 'liberate' Poland from the Nazis. The plan was called Operation Tempest and began on "W-Hour" on August 1st. It was meant to only last a few days, but ended up lasting 63 days until the Polish surrendered. During that time, the plan was reworked to rely on expected Soviet aid, but the Soviets stopped short of the city for most of the uprising and even when pushing into the city did not come close to the insurgency or aid it in any way, some say as part of Stalin's plan to force the Poles to fail and strengthen Soviet influence over Poland.
But what makes this unique from your average WWII film is that everything is all fancy robotic steam/cyberpunk. The Germans are primarily depicted as super-robots and power-suited soldiers, with giant killer cyber tanks that slaughter mercilessly. The Polish underground seem to be depicted as normal WWII-era citizens, sometimes with a seemingly more 'punk' look to them.
It's interesting to note that this film is working to be historically accurate and is working/produced in part with the Warsaw Rising Museum to do just that.

For the record, Steampunk here is only used as the overall genre. I've been informed that the style is more dieslepunk. The creators themselves have not defined this as any-punk.
That concept art looks amazing, kinda reminds me of Keith Thompson's artwork. http://www.keiththompsonart.com/gallery.html
Poland should have stayed a part of Germany they're like the shithole of Europe

Holy shit this is the most amazing thing I've seen in a while

Also is it confirmed that it'll be dubbed/subbed?

I haven't seen any confirmation but chances are yes. Platige has subbed most of their other work, and with a film as large as this the little extra cash it would take to sub it wouldn't be much of an issue, I wouldn't think.
Steampunk is so fucking strange
EDIT:
a better word would be ridiculous
Steampunk is so fucking awesome
.
Thousands of years in the future people will find this and think it is a documentary on what happened in WWII.
First picture kind of reminds me of a Necron.

I take offense to that you racist fuck.

And they will make dozens of games based upon it, which won't get boring.

Ah crap, will do.
Is this some kind of video in the making? Pretty cool.
Yes it is. I hope there will be steam punk communists.
Ehh, I hope steampunk will finally leave.
Holy Shit.
I'm watching this.
This looks awesome, World War Robot?
There needs to be a really long movie that covers hundreds of WWII battle in different countries
OH GOD. OH GOD YESYESYESYESYESYES I JUST ORGASMED A MILLION TIMES OVER.
Fuck, that is some of the most awesome concept art i've ever seen.
if it's better on film than the art then it should be a worldwide !
I have always failed to understand the attraction to steampunk.
It always seems to be "hey let's make this 'cooler' by adding unnecessary gears and shit to it, and making it look wholly impractical".
I wonder if the soviet forces will be shown in this movie. But the style of the concept art is just awesome. I hope that movie would be just as good.

I don't really give a shit what the art style is called, this movie looks cool as fuck.
Yay for Nazi robots.
Yay for Nazi robots.
Knowing some of the stuff they sunk money into, they would have probably made nazibots if somebody told them they just needed some money to do it.

The victorian ideals of being 'ahead of the curve' technologically was that your fancy and expensive gizmos were on display completely so that people could see how complicated (and therefore more fancy!) its workings were in an age in which mechanics and steam power was pretty much just developing into something practical to the general... uh, gentry.
So basically steampunk is just that. Except instead of trying to impress the governor's wife, you're trying to terrify your opponent, because you have fancier technolology.
Fancy.
Damn that's some nice concept art.
That concept art is amazing.
The last good polish movie was made in 1969 (Jak rozpętałem 2 wojnę światową - How I Unleashed World War II) ,let's see how this one turns out.
Damn, those are some evil looking Nazis.
oH MY GOD I CANT FEEL MY FACE
