Water curing and bud rot. - General

I have minor bud rot and had to cut down this baby.. [img]http://gyazo.com/760848d7a77556c561cc1d4556b75fd8.png[/img] Dunked it under water (5 days left)... Will it stop/cure the bud rot?

After a Google search it looks like the only way to cure bud rot is to cut off the effected areas, so it doesn't spread. Just noticed you meant you already cut it down, sorry. I think cutting it off either way will get rid of it and stop it from spreading.

snip the rot away and hope it doesnt spread. if it does just cut it down, dry it and make some BHO out of it

Its getting smoked on my bday, 16th of Oct :)[/QUOTE] ok let me tell u this the dumbest thing u can do is rush the curing process unless you want to waste all that effort put into growing. ive had improperly cured buds which tasted like crap, just glad i ended up making BHO out of it and using the product after all. ive also read from other people their experience that water curing takes away the taste which seems like a waste to me, especially with homegrown outdoor. [editline]03:06AM[/editline] the best curing method probably is trimming the big fan leafs, hang the branch upside down in a dark and slightly airy room. let it dry for 1 week at least and check up on the buds if there isnt any rot forming. buy some glass jars and put the trimmed buds in there for 24 hours open the jar and let the buds dry on a newspaper for 12 hours. put them back in the jar and repeat till buds have reached the dryness you want.

Basically you put a filter at the end of a tube (securely), fill the tube with whatever you're trying to extract from, and then let liquid butane run through. Oh, and you don't do it anywhere near a fire. Then you let the butane boil off, and you're left with really sticky, potent stuff.
