A story of one member and her hatered of Upgrading

One member, Cheesedelux, seems to not like upgrading.
She didn't like the new Steam UI. She doesn't want to upgrade to Windows 7 "just for Just Cause 2" and she doesn't want to have to reinstall all of her stuff.
It will apparently take her days on end to reinstall it all.
Then she thought I wouldn't make a thread, so I did.
Give her advice, please.
Oh, and Yes, she is a girl.

Tell her if it weren't for upgrades she'd still be making you sandwiches on an open fire
This is the most pointless thread in the history of Facepunch.
oh noes, a girl on the internets! what a big deal!
I don't see why she has to upgrade. I personally have no intention of getting Windows 7 (just because I'm cheap).
I still dislike the new Steam UI. if it isn't broken don't fix it.
My advice is to post threads in the right section.

Yeah, fuck making things better, if they work already don't improve them!
and computers aren't easy for everyone, can most of you repair a broken turbocharger and do the engine sealant repair into a car?

This is more of a personality issue than an actual H&S problem.

wouldn't really call it that much better, i liked when it was simple and plain without the "stylish" navigation hell and weird and useless graphs.

After getting used to it I've found I like it a lot more.

Then just slap her and tell her to get back to the kitchen (or in this case, install win 7)
lol hatered

It seems like the only reason you created this thread was because she is a girl. Very pointless and stupid.
Hey FP LOOK! I KNOW A GIRL!

Nah, it was her hatered of upgrading.
I know many girls, you don't see me making a thread about it.

I'm glad you agree.
1. I never I said I wouldn't upgrade, only that I'd wait until something more worthwhile than a couple of games made it desirable.
2. I hated the new UI for about two hours after it was released.
3. It does take forever for me to install things on account of most of my storage being on external drives and USB not being the most lightning quick of interfaces. Mass Effect took 6 hours. It's pretty bad, it's why I use so much Steam.
4. Gender is irrelevant.

So, it's bad to describe a person?
I still dislike the new Steam UI. if it isn't broken don't fix it.
"Hmmm, yeah this Death Star seems pretty solid."
"But what about that gap over there? If someone fires into that, then the whole thing gets blown up!"
"Eh, what are the chances of that? If I ain't broke don't fix it."
"Yeah I guess you're right."
and computers aren't easy for everyone, can most of you repair a broken turbocharger and do the engine sealant repair into a car?
Only if you can shave the aluminum cylinder head in my car to be even again.
Also bonus if you can measure what thickness the new headgasket should be.
OP, your childish behaviour is not going to get you laid with another FP user.
So, it's bad to describe a person?
you said "she" and "her" nine times and then added "oh by the way, she's a girl. Did I mention that?".
Regarding the new UI though - I'm getting used to it at this point but I have problems with it occasionally. At one point the community browser wouldn't work for me, and when I'm downloading games they'll repeatedly stop and I'll have to pause/unpause them constantly.
To me it just looks like OP is just bragging about how he knows a female Steam user.
Win7 is expensive.
Also that isn't much of a story too. Misleading title.
