is it possible to use an upgrade version of windows 7 ultimate to upgrade from Windows 7 RC build 7100? My RC has served me well, but i want to finally get the full version, is it possible?

No, you will need to do a clean install. I'm not sure about "hacked" installs though.

what? your still using the same OS and going through the same installation as you would upgrading from xp or vista, but changing 1 number so you can install over an earlier build of windows 7.
its not like i am torrenting the ISO, i am paying for the legit upgrade copy

Well, i can get Windows 7 ultimate dirt cheap anyway, so i'm just going to give this a go, and it it doesnt work, flog it off on ebay or summat

Yes, it worked perfectly. No stability or other issues whatsoever.
