I think someone may be trying to attack my computer

Ok, just about 30-45 minutes ago avast gave me a warning about a virus alert, but it blocked it. then just like 10 minutes ago, it happened again, so I decide to access my 2wire settings to turn off DMZ mode so I wouldn't get annoyed all day by some people trying to access my shit. When I put in gateway.2wire.net, instead of it displaying what it usually does, (I tried yesterday and it worked fine) but it says it cannot view the webpage. Sorry if there is alot of mistakes in spelling and stuff but I am getting a little bit worried.

I have already begun scanning my computer.
Also, this does not pop up when I am going to a certain website. I was just getting on minecraft the first time it happened, then when I got off and started to browse FP it happened again.
Try changing your IP.
How to:
Start CMD with elevated privileges (Vista/W7)
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew

Wont work the the homeportal (2wire) he has to reboot the whole unit.
Contact Windstream Communications in Kentucky and tell them that the external ip of 98.23.26.132 on their ISP is trying to hack into your computer.
BTW I traced the IP using www.ip-adress.com. Good utility for shutting down phishers and hackers. You just need to contact their ISP and they will do something about it.
I live in Kentucky...
And I also have windstream.
It probably was something on my network, actually.
Also, the problem seem to have ceased, actually, I haven't seen any problems ever since I posted this.
Except I still can't get into my gateway.2wire.net thing, though.

SPOOKY
Just contact their ISP and they can shut down the IP address.
Contact the ISP when you get a chance and have this asshole shut down.
It may not even be the guy doing it on purpose though. His PC could be part of a botnet or anything.

I don't think that would work, you would be changing your LAN ip not your WAN ip.

Changing your LAN ip is always possible, with admin rights of course.
