• 28 Weeks/Days Later sequel.

I guess we can say that 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later were the most realistic infection/"zombie" movies out there. But what about a sequel? Is one going to come out anytime soon? The ending to 28 Weeks Later had a cliffhanger, so I'm guessing they will make one. Did Danny Boyle ever talk about a sequel, though?
There is supposedly a 28 months later or something being made, but after how fucking awful 28 weeks later was I don't know if it could be any good.
He's been talking about this for years, ill be real sad if he drops the ball on this one
Ideally, they should do it in France with French actors etc. But if they think putting americans in 28 weeks was a good idea then I'm not hopeful as to how they'll approach the sequel.

It'd be great to see them in the sequel if the sequel is going to take place somewhere in Europe. Russia or Ukraine would be a lot better, though. At least that's what I think. Russia and Ukraine already have this slight post-apocalyptic athmosphere in our present day, so it'd be a great place to use them. The "zombies" in Paris would seem like "zombies" in an amusement park. But in Russia/Ukraine/Belarus?
Christ... If its set in Ukraine, that'd be awesome. If its filmed in Pripyat , i will get wet and im not even female

A group of survivors head to Pripyat (from Kiev or any neighbor countries) because it's an abandoned city and no one will be there, but they somehow end up getting attacked anyway.
Danny Boyle may not even direct it. He didn't direct 28 weeks later although he was a producer.
28 days was good, the intro intro scene of 28 weeks was the only good part of 28 weeks.

I personally enjoyed 28 weeks later. It wasn't as good as the first one, but the atmosphere given felt real.
I hope John Murphy's 'In the House, In a Heartbeat' song is used. That is just the trademark of 28 weeks/days later. I suppose it's hard to make another movie like 28 Days Later because of how the movie starts off, if they used the "wake up from a coma and everything is fucked" plot again it'd be pretty boring, like the second Hangover.

Considering the UK military would be pretty much abolished, after all.

Regardless of where they do it, it had better adhere to the atmosphere and style of the first film. No military bullshit.
just rewatched 28 Days later after suuuuch a long time the part where selena kills that guy in a heartbeat after he got bitten made me stare at the screen with my jaw dropped for a minute
Danny Boyle is apparently returning to direct 28 Months, which after the generic shitfest that 28 weeks was is a brilliant thing. It's to show how brutal the whole thing made Selena, and to set up the later scene with Jim. Pretty fucking cool. -snip- Ninja'd.
Danny Boyle didn't direct the second movie, which explains why it pales in comparison to 28 Days Later. But since he's apparently coming back to direct what he originally created, I'm all for it.
