A senior Queensland police officer may face disciplinary action after filming a high-speed chase on his motorcycle and posting the footage online with accompanying theme music.
The dramatic video was shot in 2008 as then Sergeant Braydon Murphy pursued a 19-year-old unlicensed motorcyclist on the Gold Coast, reaching speeds of up to 160km/h.
The footage was shot with a head-mounted camera and later edited and distributed among highway patrol officers.
Featuring a popular song by The Offspring and including quotes from the Cartman character from the animated TV series South Park, it became an instant hit.
However, three years later, the same material has landed on the desk of Deputy Police Commissioner Ian Stewart, who has ordered a disciplinary review.
"Respect mar authoritar!" at the end of the video. Baddass cop.
Awesome cop.
Best cop ever to exist.
Ever.
What was the Camera guy doing with the Zoom while doing the interview?
It was like: "Holy cow, dramatic Closeup so i can see his boogers hanging from his nose!"
Also Badass cop indeed.
Best cop ever.

You would think a motorcycle cop would have a good taste in music.

Nostalgia. First video game ever that wasn't in an arcade.
Has he done something wrong? All police vehicles in the UK have cameras on nowadays, and end up on police car chase shows. I would have thoughrlt they would in Australia
I think it's the the music not the video, it's Australia so they have to make sure it doesn't offend anyone. They should be giving him a medal for being able to weave through traffic in a high-speed chase with those giant brass balls dragging behind him.
Badass cop is badass!
What exactly did he do that they want to punish him for?
I did the same thing with TF2 and a clip of a guy shooting a goat, and I never got in trouble :v:.

Haha, what?

Australia has some of the most offensive slang in regards to racial and sexual orientation.

for posting a video online.
because clearly cops beating random bystanders isnt a problem, but as soon as theme music and south park qoutes are involved its terrible.
He did his job and posted a video of it, and then got in trouble for it? If they're okay with the actions he took while on the job, why wouldn't they be okay with people seeing him do it? This is just stupid.
This guy is awesome and shouldn't be reprimanded.
Does anyone have a link to the full video?
