Two weeks ago, a Kotaku reader sent me several documents from a casting call for a project code-named Institute. The casting documents, which I've been able to confirm are real, include scripts, character descriptions, and other details about the next Fallout, and although the word Fallout does not appear in these scripts, there are several references to Fallout's setting and locations. (The casting director for this project also worked on other Bethesda games, like Dishonored and Skyrim.)

Other documents describe a mission set in the Institute—Fallout's post-apocalyptic version of MIT—and references to other Fallout locations that have been mentioned but never shown in other games, like the Commonwealth, which comprises what's left of Massachusetts.

The casting documents describe some of the other characters in the next Fallout's wasteland, like a radio DJ named Travis Miles and an engineer named Sturges who is described as "a cross between Buddy Holly and Vin Diesel." Casting calls for both the male and female versions of the player character note that the player begins the game in a cryogenic sleep chamber.
The quality of writing looks like a bad fan-fiction, so it's probably by Bethesda.
The Player narrates the game's intro?
But...what about Ron Pearlman?
I really doubt the validity of this considering the player character is talking.
Here we go again.
'War. War never changes.'
wtf is this, duty calls?
EDIT:
Oh wait, ye sorry never played fallout so I didn't realise the qoute came from there
EDIT:
was probably a stupid idea to post in this thread as I never actually played a fallout game except for watching my older brother play it :v:

Maybe the Ron Perlman is the player in the intro?
The rest of the dialogue looks like it could just be the unvoiced conversation options like in Bethesda's other games anyway.
Needless to say, I'll be very upset if Ron isn't in this one.

uhh. It's fallout
ITS A TRAP!
the player cannot be a soldier
'War. War never changes.'

It's been said in every Fallout game, so it's a Fallout thing.
I've seen on r/fallout that there are plans to make a mod for FNV based off thesurvivor2299, with the creator of the site directing it and its gotten a good amount of support. That's probably what this casting call is about.
War.... war never change
it's like I'm really reading a bad fan fiction

That phrase is like, the single most iconic thing from the Fallout series.

This is kotaku, posting private/confidential documents, about a game that recently got a lot of hype because someone made a announcement, that turned out to be fake.
This is in no way clickbait.
Didn't the whole Survivor 2299 involve something to do with the "Institute" ?
I actually remember reading this when it happened on Kotaku, it was so obviously fake I was actually stupefied at it. The documents came from some commenter who claimed his wife was voicing the main character in Fallout 4. He also said his wife was under an NDA, but he wasn't so it's okay for him to talk about it. Needless to say people agreed with him, and the writer of the article kept spamming asking for documents and these appeared.
I'd rather they find something about Doom 4.
Need me some Ron Perlman.
i hope liam o'brien voices everyone again
This is so obviously fake.
I feel bad for r/fallout though because they're going to fall for it again.

People have known about the commonwealth being MIT forever, as well as the likeliness of the next Fallout game being set there. That said, however, I'm still pretty sure this is fake.
So the mercenaries are going to give him a rifle to get them a fusion core, but his conditions are that he gets to keep the rifle AND the fusion core?
What?
the only decent part of fallout 3 was liam neeson
give me the neeson
pg. 3 leak
player: i will have to defeat the evil bad guys that want to destroy the world!
war. war never change );
I like the idea of the game starting before the bombs dropped, not so much the player talking...
I doubt this is real tough, too much fake fallout 4 info lately i'm not getting my hopes up again.
It's kotaku so meh...
I think I found the name of who sent them the script.
Jason Schreier
