Hey I am trying to make a little into scene for a movie, and i want to have a video in the background and some words over the top, and i cant find out how to do it any help?
Drop your footage into the timeline, then look tot he top half of your screen. You'll see lots of presets. Click on text (left of your presets) Drag the first one onto your footage. Type in whatever you want... voila.
Thanks tons! EDIT Ah, that just covers up the vid, i still want to see it, but with the words in front, like the black is transparent
Remember to make a new "layer" on top of the one with the footage.
Drag your video on the timeline, then right click on the timeline in the area below the video where there are no tracks and click "Insert video track" There should be another one created above the video. Right click and hit "Insert text media" in the new track and then type your message in there. Make sure that the text is on top of the video track.
Also next time, just look up some tutorials on YouTube, they've helped me ALOT with Premiere
