I have some cacti that are too tall and growing out of their pots and I have some in need of bigger pots. Is there a way to cut the tall one? I also have four cacti all in the same pot and they're getting too big and are in need of their own pots, is there a way I can remove them without messing up their roots? I'd imagine they are pretty tangled.
Take a pic and let us see. It depends on where you're cutting. If you take it off at the joints and replant it, it will be fine. Well, okay it also depends on the cacti, pic please :)

Hmmm I have that type in my house too, but it's near a really tall point in the ceiling. I'm not sure you can cut that, I would just transfer it outside if I were you.
I would, but I live in a very cold area. Any other ideas? [editline]18th February 2013[/editline] Should/could I replant the other three in the pot with it? I could put the tall one in a pot on the floor, but I'm not sure how to replant them.

This will prevent him from getting any larger than he is now.
