• span ISOs to multiple CDs

So I recently came into a server that I'd like to install server 2008 R2 onto. The only problems are that it doesn't have a DVD drive, P X E isn't an option in my current setting, and I can't use a flash drive for the install. I'd like to span the ISO file onto multiple CD s because it does have a regular CD drive with proprietary connectors (trust me i tried to ghetto rig a DVD drive to work). So I my question is: can you span an ISO onto multiple CD s without any really hardcore software or O E M developer software?
No, You can't.
You really shouldn't make two threads like this. The mods can get touchy. I'm sure cosmic's cool with it though.
DVD drives use either SATA or IDE. Trust me, one of them WILL work. Or hook one up via USB.
Just don't use windows server. I would suggest using debian linux.
Can you not just borrow a DVD drive from another computer for the installation, and put it back when you are finished?
Split the ISO with WinRAR. Copy the parts to the internal drive of the server. Assemble it again and mount it with in a virtual drive.
good luck doing that to install an operating system.
It works with 7. [editline]11:36AM[/editline] Of course you need to an old version of Windows first...
Just get a DVD drive.
