I hear about it being 10 times stronger than "normal" weed, and that people are developing schizophrenia from smoking it. Is any of that true? Is "skunk" even real? 'Cause if it is I'd liked to know the THC % of it.
it's really pretty scary stuff. i herd that it's almost as addictive as heroin and cigarettes combined, the smoke from one joint of that shit has about the same amount of tar chemicals and that kinda shit as like ten normal weed joints, it causes people to go mad all the time, and the price of it makes people go out and rob houses like on meth.
i'll keep on smoking normal weed like they did in the 60s; i don't want any of their new chemically enhanced crap!

Skunk is a type of weed, there are many different varieties and crossed strains, skunk is just one of these, but is often referred to in the media to mean a very high quality weed.
So would weed within the THC percentage of 20-25 range be considered skunk?
Or medical marijuana in general?

That whole article is trying to differentiate normal weed from stronger stuff. It is trying to make it seem like the stronger stuff is much worse than the regular stuff, and make it seem like there are many more dangers with this drug.
The actual case is that the dank stuff is better because you smoke far less of it to get the same high, so you are consuming far less carcinogenic material.

'Skunk' is not any strain I've heard of. Some weed has an almost skunky (like when a skunk sprays something) smell, it's not a raunchy nasty smell, but has a similarity in it that will remind you of a skunk's stink.

Where I'm from skunk is just used to describe weed that smells 'skunky'. It's also interchangeable as a slang word for pot. I'm very sure there is not a strain called skunk, but there are lots of strains that have skunk in the name, i.e. Lemon Skunk. Mmmmmm.

I only buy kush and kush only. It would be a mistake to practically buy anything else. I turn down anything that doesn't come from a weed store because I don't trust anything else, healthy and quality wise.

I never intend to move. We have AK47, Afwreck, Lemon Kush, Trainwreck, Sour Diesel, and many more incredibly potent strains for like 10-12 bucks a gram/30-40 an 8th.
I started smoking on lime green skunk, shit was intense and it can make you rather nervous because of the high it gives.

I would never limit myself to one strain, such as just smoking kush. Why would I only want to smoke an indica dominant strain all the time? I like to mix it up, get a variety going.
So "Skunk" weed appears to be a cross breed of Sativa and Indica

Maybe nervous for you, but for me some Skunk weed, like Indica I guess, make me opressioned/anguished (lacking for a better word, I'm not american), it's pretty strange and it can be intense like you said..
