So our professor wants us to write a paper on a controversial topic but it can't be abortion because she said "I've read too many abortion papers, they are just boring." Now I've been thinking about this, and I thought I was going to do teenage drinking but eh thats not interesting enough. like I know you guys have a wide variety of ideas, and I want to see your most interesting ones that would have a very clear line on taking sides for it, and its prefered to be "BIG!" because the easier to reasearch, the better my grade ;) thanks guys!
9/11
Pedophilia, seperation of church and state, drugs, the death penalty, feminism, misandry, PETA It only takes a bit of creativity
Drugs, modern day religion, subculture. Internet addiction might be interesting enough.

- Was the Iraq War justifiable? - Should NATO be disbanded now that the Cold War is over? - Was Truman's war in Korea constitutionally legal despite no official declaration of war by Congress? - Was the atomic bombing of Nagasaki and Hiroshima necessary? Also, if you want really good topics, look up the Mass Debates Section because they have BOTH topics AND arguments for a paper.
Is the two party system leading to a stagnation in American politics?
I wrote a paper on the legalization of medical marijuana, if you do this topic I can hook you up with some different articles, books, and peer reviewed journals in .pdf format to get you started.
I really like your guys ideas, I was getting ideas from friends off of steam too. I thought about doing internet addiction but that might not be controversial enough. Then PETA, and ha I could write a lot about that. and I like how you have all the sources already, *I need 6 scholarly books first*(Like from ebsco and my college's database) But it is always good too have more sources because my teacher says the minimum isn't an A paper. but a friend said Paranormal Phenomena, and I like the sound of it. I have about 3 hours to decide so I'm going to think long and hard on this.
So after you 'long and hard' thinking, what did you pick?
So after you 'long and hard' thinking, what did you pick?
I walked into class and someone already had legalizing marijuana, so I was like I guess peta. But I was a lot more interested in paranormal phenomena; so I decided to go with that instead. But thank you for the ideas guys! it got my creative juices going.
