Well no kidding, all these designs in videogames can surely be realistic at some point. Maybe not all of them but most of them do seem like "Hey, this could actually be a reality within X amount of years."
Almost all of my understanding of computers is in some way derived from playing and modding games.
Well of course games can fuel innovation. If Star Trek can make innovation, so can games.
