So it's like another version of SMOD then yes? SMOD was/is great.
Imagine this + half life vr lmao holy shit
Goddamn, the fuel explosions for this look fucking sweet.
Reminds me of the old animated explosion sprites from the original Half-life, cranked up a few notches of course. Also seeing stuff like this makes me happy. [IMG_thumb]http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/15/14768/Half-Life_2_Screenshot_2017.11.22_-_18.45.40.12.png[/IMG_thumb]
Bullet time + shovel was the way to go in smod :v:
Bullet time + shovel was the way to go in smod :v:
nothing beats the pure fury of the kick
This guy's a Facepuncher by the way. I believe we worked together on that HL2:Enhancement Mod.
Bullet time + shovel was the way to go in smod :v:
Aww yeah, crouching underneath NPCS whilst kicking them upwards + shoveling to death, making them fly up into the Skybox and gib on contact :v:
nothing beats the pure fury of the kick
Activate bullet time; send metrocop airborne with the shovel; kick him mid-air to send him flying; headshot him on the go; watch his body explode against the wall into a spectacular burst of gore & viscera; repeat as much as needed.
He's also got a neat mod for FEAR.
Same person's also remaking Generals in RA3.
that ak47 in the trailer looks pretty rough, dunno why he's using the cut hl2 model when there's so many others i'm sure he could use (or make one)
Probably for stylistic/consistency reasons, since I don't think he actually changed any models beyond their animations. And i'm pretty sure i've seen those animations too. Odds are he isn't exactly a modeler, animator or skilled texture artist. Code changes and effects seem to be his forte.
curious to hear what Lord Marphy has to say about this
I really like how the explosion effects look like the sprites from half life 1
"Some parts of the code were rewritten from scratch, some features are totally brand new, a lot of features were ported from City 17: Episode 1 mod, for which I am super grateful. I've made brand new particle effects for everything, I even did a couple of live streams to show some features off and to tell people that I am not dead."
Glad to finally see some of this stuff get used! God speed, can't wait to play this.
This looks really well done
I've been waiting for a reason to replay HL2 and I think this just might be it.
I really miss smod some of my best gaming years was finding some offshoot of smod (like smod remastered redux) which added even more weapons, abilities, and crazy features I wonder if this mod can fill the hole in my nostalgic heart [editline]23rd November 2017[/editline] My favorite thing to do in that crazy Smod offshoot was to literally freeze time, walk through a room full of enemies while shooting off rounds at all the enemies, then unfreeze time and watch the literal bloodbath unfold
The guy who made this also created a similar mod for hl1:

Besides folks working slowly on a new iteration, Standalone lets you experience the classic SMOD.
Finally a reason to install the dumpster fire that is RA3.
You mean you didn't play RA3 just to see Tim Curry pretend to be Russian?
You mean you didn't play RA3 just to see Tim Curry pretend to be Russian?
No, I bought it to see Peter Stormare pretend to be Russian with the thickest Swedish accent humanly possible. :v: I also bought it with the assumption that it would be a decent game.
And i'm pretty sure i've seen those animations too.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v3XZJaR4rc0 Kind of surprised these are finally being used for something else.
