Ziggy Marley, son of legendary musician and stoner Bob Marley, set to debut new comic - Polidicks

Image Comics announced today that Marley would be teaming with writer Joe Casey and artist Jim Mahfood for an entirely new creation - Marijuanaman. Set to debut next year, on April 20, 2011, Marijuanaman focuses on a hero "from a planet that is in desperate need of THC. Marijuanaman seeks to save Earth's marijuana fields from destruction by the drug company PharmeXon, and thus saving his home planet from destruction," according to Image's press release. Marley will be making an appearance at this year's San Diego Comic-Con for a rare signing on Saturday, July 24 from 11:00am to 12:30pm at the Image Comics booth. Limited edition Marijuanaman posters will be available during the signing. "I have been reading comics since I was a little boy in Jamaica," said Marley in a quote from Image's press release. "I am very excited to be a part of Image Comics, Comic-Con, and the comic book community." [/release] This could be interesting.

I'll have to pick up a copy. I respect Ziggy because his music is far better than Justin Biebers. I also like his music even if not compared to Bieber.
