Jackass star Ryan Dunn had racked up 23 driving violations, including a DUI, in the thirteen years since he passed his test, it's been reported.
Dunn and passenger Zachary Hartwell were killed when Dunn's Porsche crashed and exploded in a ball of flames in the early hours of Tuesday morning just outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The Philadelphia Enquirer reports that Dunn's citations included 10 charges for speeding and careless driving, and three for driving with a suspended licence.
Ninety percent ended in guilty pleas.
Dunn was charged for drink driving in 2005, but the charges were dropped after he completed a probationary programme and received a suspended sentence.
Hours before the fatal crash, Dunn had posted a photograph of himself, Hartwell, and a third person drinking at a local bar.
It won't be known for a number of weeks if Dunn was driving over the legal drink drive limit.
Ok i don't care if your the nicest guy on jackass or anything but if you had 23 fucking citations which include DUI then it was just a matter of time
Looks like he was a jackass when driving
It's fortunate that he only took his own life and not someone else with his recklessness.
It's fortunate that he only took his own life and not someone else with his recklessness.
The passenger died.
The passenger died.
Well shit never mind then
Dunn's lack of respect is what caused this in the first place. No respect for his own life, passenger's life, other possible drivers or pedestrians, alcohol and the law.
He was still fucking hilarious and a great guy, but i fucking hope thick idiotic fans won't take big shits on people that even mention dui.
Dunn was a known bad driver, but this is... wow
Who gives a shit how many citations he had, the mans life was lost.
He had it coming. He got so many warnings and yet he ignored them all. Now he paid the ultimate price and took another person with him.
Who gives a shit how many citations he had, the mans life was lost.
he caused the death of his passenger.
Wow, I didn't know his passenger died too. I really have no sympathy at this point.
He certainly looked like a really nice guy, and funny as hell... too bad he was so reckless when driving.

Yeah, everyone has their flaws.
The "Ultimate Price" sounds like a movie plot element.
stop it.
You don't just launch a car without a few citations under your belt.
Yeah, everyone has their flaws.
I don't have Any flaws.
He had it coming. He got so many warnings and yet he ignored them all. Now he paid the ultimate price and took another person with him.
Had it coming? No. Hard to sympathize? Sure.
I don't have Anny flaws.
Spelling?
Had it coming? No. Hard to sympathize? Sure.
When you get 23 citations and still drive recklessly, you're only on borrowed time.
Dammit Ryan.

Let alone a Porsche, knowing how fast those cars can be--and _Dangerous_, in the wrong hands.

:(
Go figure. I knew this was in relation to a DUI. It isn't rocket science to come to that conclusion for his death.
What the stupid shit is that he was acting wreckless and took another life with him too. This is what happens when you get some money and act extremely stupid with it.
I wouldn't say he had it coming (He did though, the moment he got into the drivers seat in that Porsche) but I really don't feel sympathetic for him. Friends dont let jackasses drink and drive.
I hate how people are praising him, he drove 130 drunk and crashed. If it was any other drunk driver everybody would rage, but because its this guy everyone just forgets about the fact he was drunk.
he obviously made mistakes, but no one deserves to die

Everyone deserves to die. Its one of the main concepts of life.

You know what he meant.
I want to know who let him drive that night.
