• US weed vs Dutch weed

I've heard lots of stories of Americans smoking 5 joints to get high, come to The Netherlands and try the same here, and then pass out since they already got totally baked of 1 joint. Is weed really this bad in the US? Let the discussion begin.
You can never tell, some in the USA may grow really good weed compared to some Dutch people and vice versa... I've had good and shit weed in both the US and Netherlands.. I'm sure that G13 strain was made by the US Government for testing (i've heard, may be untrue) and that was pretty strong? I've left Amsterdam looking forward to the weed I get in the UK.. Swings and Roundabouts.
Problem in The Netherlands is that you have to know where to get your weed. For the good weed, go to the east of The Netherlands, western Dutch weed is shit. The stuff you get in Amsterdam is regulated by our government because of too much tourists getting baked as fuck without even knowing proper first time use dosage.
There's no big difference. In the US there's more legitimate growers with big operations so there's more high quality weed in circulation. The strains aren't that different and most strains are available both places. The stuff you can get in Amsterdam is nothing amazing compared to other places.

you can get both shitty and godlike weed pretty much anywhere in the world.
but in the Netherlands it is far the cheapest, our shop prices come near your street prices. and our street prices are about half of that. i can get 4g of lemon haze for 10 euro
and it's really hard to get shitty weed in the Netherlands.

I doubt whatever you can get in the Netherlands is any better than I can get here in So-Cal. And as far as quantities go, it's all about who you know. Hell, I can get 4g of some premium indoor for $20

Why do you guys call a blunt a joint btw? I thought a joint was implying a joining of weed and tobacco?
Why do you guys call a blunt a joint btw? I thought a joint was implying a joining of weed and tobacco?
I always thought a joint was just a weed cig wrapped with regular rolling paper instead of tobacco.
I always thought a joint was just a weed cig wrapped with regular rolling paper instead of tobacco.
A lot of people make this mistake.
I always thought a joint was just a weed cig wrapped with regular rolling paper instead of tobacco.
It's different in other parts of the world. Europe is opposite NA I'm pretty sure, as in they call a joint a spliff and we call a spliff a joint kinda thing. It's confusing. [editline]12th January 2014[/editline]
Slightly related but the weed in Canada is about on par with the weed we got here, some even better if you ask me.
Never been to the Netherlands myself but I hear the same, that ours and your weed is about the same in terms of quality.
I always thought a joint was just a weed cig wrapped with regular rolling paper instead of tobacco.
What is a weed cig? You wrap it in tobacco? I'm so confused
A lot of people make this mistake.
Mistake? For me the definition of blunt has always been weed (with or without tobacco) rolled in blunt wraps or tobacco leaves, and a joint uses regular rolling paper. Personally and among people I know the difference between joint and spliff is that a spliff contains tobacco whilst a joint is pure, but I don't think this distinction is a universal one, from what I've seen the two terms are more generally used interchangeably.
For me a spliff is weed only and a joint is when you join the weed and tabacco. [editline]12th January 2014[/editline] I think opinions on this are always going to remain split though.
You're bound to find schwag and fire in every part of the world as it's really up to the grower and not necessarily the climate or locale he's in (climate can be controlled with the right set-up)
The quality of the weed depends heavily on who grows it and whether they're a total fuckwit or not.
What is a weed cig? You wrap it in tobacco? I'm so confused
No, but it's weed rolled in paper, like how a cigarette is tobacco rolled in paper idk
yo real talk honestly my main man, weed in the US is good but if u know ur hookips u can get some g quality shit if u kno wut imsayin
Why do you guys call a blunt a joint btw? I thought a joint was implying a joining of weed and tobacco?
Straight up near me this is how it goes: A joint is weed rolled with your run of the mill rolling papers, can be regular or hemp. A blunt is weed rolled in tobacco papers. I usually split cigarillos as opposed to buying the tobacco paper outright because the moisture content is perfect in cigarillos. (Unless they're old and dry as shit.) I personally dislike blunts because it tends to ruin the taste of the nug but if you need something that can withstand wind and crazy environmental factors then a blunt is perfect. A spliff is weed and tobacco rolled with either rolling papers or tobacco paper (like a blunt). Oh and yeah just like everyone else said you can find amazing weed all over the world, it all depends on the grower. In the U.S it's more about knowing the right people (in the states where it's illegal). I have a wide variety of options ranging from weed that will green you out in a few hits to crappy mexican cartel brick schwag.
Quality of cannabis is determined by the quality of the plant's life, not the strain or location. There's no difference in 'dutch weed' and 'american weed' it's all Cannabis Sativa cultivars with funky names like OG Kush or Amnesia Haze.

I know rhuderalus or whatever is only really used for stronger plant characteristics to handle harsher climates and weather.
Most weed in the Netherlands are actually hybrids.
Most weed in the Netherlands are actually hybrids.
Most weed is hybrid
:p
but here is one fact: everything is better in the fucking Netherlands
