The CPU bracket lever isn't going down easy I don't want to force it down. Help? Mobo = Gigabyte Z68X-ud4-B3
Do you know for a fact that it's aligned in the socket properly? I had the same problem where it was making a "crunching" like noise, thinking i may have fucked up i just said fuck it and left it in and it works. So yeah, check the alignment.
It didn't seem to be able to go in any other way, so I put it so the words were facing upright.
"Zero-force Insertion" Not force required, force it down if you want to break that shit.
You have to force the lever down with a bit of force, that is just the way it is with Intel CPU's nowadays with the LGA style.
The CPU only goes in one way lol, there's notches that prevent it from sitting secure any other way.
The i5 lever needs a bit of force. I just built my first PC on the 2nd and it was nerve wrecking. I'd say don't be afraid but do use caution.
Don't worry, it requires a fair bit of force, more than you'd think. Just make sure it's aligned properly - there should be an indicator on the CPU and on the socket on one of the corners.
When I put mine in, I was really scared because it was creaking and cracking. But it works.
Thats a known "problem". You can freak that bracket bobby. The 2.5k a is produkt gud men
