Is anyone else interested in criminology? Wikipedia definition:
Criminology is the scientific study of the nature, extent, causes, and control of criminal behavior in both the individual and in society.
I plan on majoring it and was wondering if anyone else here is too. Also, I'm looking for more criminal cases to study if you could post some.
Sounds like an interesting subject, but it probably won't suit me
I am, sort of, my dad was a cop, and an educational kind, so he taught me alot about it. I held my first murderweapon at the age of seven :tinfoil:. EDIT: Oh, and you should try and look for more interesting cases, most people are caught up in Jack the Ripper and other serial killers, but there are alot more interesting crimes than that. Such as counterfitting, art thefts, bank robberies and the like. Bonnie and Clyde sure makes an interesting case, and beats reading about how some guy with a hatchet killed his ex wife, or, well, atleast not whilst looking down at the hatchet he used... It gets abit uncanny.
I'm interested in it but I'm not sure that's how I would want to spend my life. Lot of sick fucks in the world and sometimes it's best to stay in the dark.
Sounds like an interesting subject, but it probably won't suit me
It is, but it probably takes a certain kind of person to like it. You have to be interested in law, sociology, psychology, etc. and be able to study and see gruesome things. It's not for the faint of heart I guess. It's sickening and fascinating at the same time what humans will do to each other.
My dad has done 2 degree's in criminology, he is now working as at and airport for QANTAS

Criminology is the Science of finding out who 'dun goofed, and backtracing the lying punks
Actually, this is what I was looking for. I knew that there was a name for it, but for some reason I couldn't think of it. Thanks OP.
