Yeah yeah, RIP Square-Enix. You had a nice run.
Meh, maybe if they would stop obsessing over high production quality they could bring the focus back on interesting worlds and coherent storytelling...
Makes sense since they sure as hell haven't made a good FF in a while.
I like FF13 and 13-2 :c
You aren't allowed to like those games. The internet said so. No fun or individual thinking allowed.
Square stopped being square YEARS ago. Don't know people fail to see this. Buy their games if they appeal, don't if they don't. The people who made Square what it is have been gone, in some cases, for over a decade.
THis is it. It died. I think they should just give me the Final Fantasy IP before they poke their own eyes out with it, it's obvious that they don't know how it's used. I'd say Final fantasy 12 is my most favourite. They couldn't have picked a better style, timeline, battle mechanic with limitless possibilities and with probably the best growth system I have experienced in the form of licenses. I could write so much as to why this game is brilliant but I don't have the energy to do it on a mobile device.
So, let me get this straight: Square Enix took a look at Human Revolution, a game which they helped publish, saw how they outsourced the boss battles and how huge of a detriment to the game they were, and they THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD IDEA?!

They just bought the developers. They don't fuck a give what happens in the west...
This reminded me of that Final Fantasy spin-off Grin was making. Square wanted them to FAX code to them.
I like FF13 and 13-2 :c
FF13 would have been much better if they could give the characters more than "Yeah, let's do this!" to say throughout all the game.
They've already been dead for years already, they're just shooting the corpses of once proper franchises. Just look at The Third Birthday. They turned a great, innovative horror RPG series with a balanced shock factor and story into a generic third person shooter with one of the most convoluted, clusterfucked stories I've ever seen and an overly sexualized main lead. [sp]Her health is measured in the amount of clothes torn off.[/sp] Maybe it's for the best that they won't be focusing on development anymore. Either way, it can't get much worse.

I was surprised to hear that a lot of people didn't like it, maybe that's why they created XIII (bleh).

I enjoyed 7, 9, 10, and 13-2. I think that once they sort out the linear gameplay and shit story line then they'll be back in the game.
