It's nitpicking but yeah people say other gaming communities are really toxic... they need to see videos like this
Its a mix between toxic and taking the absolute piss out of each other. Fucking hilarious if you ask me.
This is why you only behave like this at friends places Lol at that pussy, did you see the look on his face when the black dude gotmface to face with him Also tucking your shirt in unless you're dressing formally, or are my dads age, lol He looks like the stereotypical nerd
Eaaaaasy monnaay!
whoever you are, you're a bitch *big black guy erupts from crowd*

For those wanting the full details of the nerd talking smack to the big guy. Here's the full video of the exchange. match ends at 58:27
I don't know, I think the modern FGC is torn between trying to be clean cut and trying to be back to it's 90's hardcore arcade roots. Even though it will never get that way again because people are more mature and less ghetto. If you guys think this is "toxic" or "elitist" this is nothing, it's just a facade really, it's people getting hype thats it. I heard nightmare stories of 90s arcade FGC. Knives, fights, real hatred and much bigger stakes in money matches. Not saying it was all like that, but it was really ghetto and elitist sometimes, you had to basically get hazed by whatever arcade community you were in before becoming good. Especially in the days of older games that required much more skill and had less room for error. Basically what I am saying is the FGC is a lot nicer now and if anybody is put off by the sorts of things that happen in this video they have easily hurt feelings.

Why do people get so serious over video games Back in my day video games were made to be fun Still funny tho
Should have included the hoo ha
I cannot believe this wasn't part of the video, It's basically all the backstory you need to the Leffen VS Chillindude part.
I love the fighting game community. especially for stuff like this
Must suck losing and being sat right next to the guy who just won the money though.
Must suck losing and being sat right next to the guy who just won the money though.
Of course you would get a tad salty when you get taunted along with the realization that you just lost the chance to get your hands on a pretty nice sum of cash
All these people saying the fgc is toxic/taking it too seriously needs to get out more, this shit is trashtalking, it ain't serious.
All these people saying the fgc is toxic/taking it too seriously needs to get out more, this shit is trashtalking, it ain't serious.
The only community that's legit toxic is Dota-likes
If you're going to make a 3 minute long rap video to shit talk someone you better win and not go 0-5
it's all shit talking, i don't think anyone actually has anything against each other. i think that's part of what makes the FGC so live, and shit would be nowhere near as hype without it. i mean damn i've gotten some hardcore trash talk over Smash, but all it's done is made me want to get better.
I remember I was playing DOA5 online with some randoms and they were trashtalking my choices, but conceded to my skilled play and actually say GG and all that. Most people just try to psych you out, much like in other sports, but it's all in good fun and really part of the FGC experience.
Oh man, my friend's been going on about Leffen and Chillin for so long now, I don't even play Smash but I know about the scene cause of him [editline]3rd March 2015[/editline]
All these people saying the fgc is toxic/taking it too seriously needs to get out more, this shit is trashtalking, it ain't serious.
Yeaaaaa. If you want a real toxic community, check out something like League of Legends. I keep hearing stories of people kicking people and getting really angry at their teammates for performing poorly. The people in that game are too serious about their rankings.

That hasn't ever happened bro, i don't get where you "Keep hearing that" and i watch it religiously. People get angry at people performing badly in all competetive game so i ain't gonna deny that but that doesn't bother me. And people getting angry at teammates on a professional level just doesn't happen.

I'm not talking about the professional community at all, I'm talking casual level. A lot of people in my school, and my friends in general just tell me about all these bad times they have when they play and they usually seem more irritated at the game than they do enjoy it. (which is probably not true, it just seems like that). They also care a lot about their ranks, I overhear people who are concerned about maintaining their rank or wanting to rank up because they want a skin, and that people get other people to play on their account just for their rankings. That's just what I'm hearing, and that's literally all. That's why I'm putting "I keep hearing" before my statements.
