• My "Player Proficiency" system.

This is a program I came up with for my former team, and it actually helped quite a bit, so I thought I'd share with the FPAir/IFAP members.
This sheet will help the team determine your “Player Profile”. Your profile will be based off of proficiency in the field of your choosing, whether it be Sniper, Assault, Support, etc. Your player profile will also contain precise load out specifications, including style of vest (if available), weight of gear (estimated), items included, type and brand of weapon being used, if it is “stock” or “upgraded/custom”, and attachments. It should also contain how much ammunition you carry at a given time. The reasoning behind this is that we operate and work as a team who can be more efficient knowing our strengths and weaknesses on the field, and can work soundly in combat stress situations. After all player profile sheets have been collected, a single sheet containing all players and their specific load outs and weapons will be available on the forum for personal download. Please download only one sheet for yourself, and keep it on your person when playing (in case of assistance, you know who to call on, or who to support). This is not to single anyone out, nor say they are a lesser member. This is to get more comfortable in our play styles, and to know each other’s moves before the movement is executed. If we are one step ahead of the enemy, they’ll be two steps behind us. There is no “training” for the team. If you are comfortable with the way you operate in combat, then that is fine. If you want assistance on how to, for example, properly hold your gun, then ask. However, proficiency “classes” will be held to see how you handle and maintain your weapon. You won’t pass or fail, like it says above, but if you are “chicken winging” your gun, then you will be marked for improvement. The only reason we do this, is to effectively build combat readiness and posture. We are not here to change your play style, or how you operate in combat. We are here to let each other know how we, as a unit, operate in combat. Player Proficiency Sheets are currently still being made, with new characteristics being added and removed to help suit the team better. If you would like to add a characteristic, please, do not hesitate to PM me. This is for everyone’s benefit, including your own. This is just a rough draft of the program. Some things that are mentioned above may be excluded in the future, or they could be added in at a later date.
It wasn't a perfected system, and it was still in its stages of being developed. So here's your chance for community input. Add in things, or take them out. The sheet I mentioned in the quote box was basically this: When players submitted their loadout information, I would place it into an Excel spreadsheet. This sheet would then be handed out to the players, as a quick reference guide on who to radio in need of assistance. Anything else you want to ask or give your opinion on, feel free.
So we just give your loadout information and you classify it in Excel?
So we just give your loadout information and you classify it in Excel?
Well, I had the idea for it when I was on an airsoft team down here. Since I was the team instructor, I came up with this program so that everyone had a quick reference to what people carried and ran with. If you wanted to post your loadout specs feel free. I might put it in Excel, but it wouldn't really help since we all don't play together. It probably would benefit everyone who goes to HvA and CQBCity for the fact Facepunch members actually play together at those sites.
Well seeing as I don't have a loadout it wouldn't work :P. But that doesn't seem like a half bad idea.
Well seeing as I don't have a loadout it wouldn't work :P. But that doesn't seem like a half bad idea.
It worked wonders. When two members of our team needed assistance capturing a base, they called our support member over the radio, and within seconds he was there, helping capture the base. It works if your team utilizes the resource.
Should we use the template FPKawaii provided?
If you wish. The point is to make it as accurate as possible. [editline]24th April 2011[/editline]
Proficiency: Rifleman, DM, Support Type of Vest: RRV/Weesatch Weight of gear: 14(RM), 7(DM), 23(Support) Items included: Magazines, speedloader, extra bbs (not on rifleman), red rag, tactical snacks, map, tactical tape, extra batteries. If you want to make it easier for a team to add and edit their profiles setup a spreadsheet using Google Docs. I'll setup a quick one just to show a way of doing it. https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AuxzL17iU6XKdE04Zks4dXZHbUtLYjZUQ255Y2tKTXc&hl=en&authkey=COOV8JYH

I just would save their loadouts in Microsoft Word, then import their info into Excel.
I don't need no 'system' to know how to rock.
