• Win7 Computer can't see XP machines on the same network and workgroup.

It sees the Vista computers just fine, but for the life of me I cannot get the computer to see and access the two XP machines on our network. I've checked firewall settings, I've tried adding the computers manually, I've done everything else I can think of. Now, the XP machines can see the Win7 machine fine and access files just fine, and the Vista machines can access the Win7 machine and the XP machines just fine, but the Win7 machine cannot access the XP machines, which is a pity because most of my family's music and photos are on the XP machines. Google is not helpful. Does anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Have you tried \\*XPCOMPUTERNAME* (Or was is // ?) in run?
Try \\(LAN IP of the XP computer here)

However, the problem has appeared to fix itself, no doubt to return later as a more malevolent entity. Thanks, though! Now I just have to configure the firewalls.
